Battle for the Dream Masters

Chapter 32-34

To our wonderfully faithful and dedicated readers,

To celebrate the two-year anniversary of our home here at Foxglove Manor, (and our just over 3yr anniversary of the story in total) we are delivering to you, a three-chapter installment of Dream Masters. Of course, there’s a little bit of a catch, you have to give us feedback, and we warn you now, make this last, cause it’s gonna be about another month or so before we’re able to post more chapters (gotta give us time to write).

We would like to also apologize, it was announced that some additions to the site were to be coming shortly… and shortly has turned into months of waiting. Our web guy went off and got married and has 3 kids now to worry about and has little time to come online, so we weren’t able to do as much as we’d hoped. But we’re trying to resolve the situation, and hope to have those extras for you in the next few months. So enough chit chat, here is what you’ve all been waiting for. Chapters 32 – 34.

The Chosen Ones

Last Time

As Vanessa continued to stroke back and forth on top of him, Justin felt an intense wave of pleasure flow through his body. Not wanting to rush into anything that could be more than just a fling, Justin grabbed Vanessa by the waist and gently rolled her onto her side. Both lying there, they just stared into each other’s eyes, not knowing where things would lead from there.

This Time . . .

Josh was driving unusually fast down the road leading out of the manor. He had his sunglasses on, and the windows down. The sound of the engine in fourth gear was nearly deafening, but it actually stopped him from thinking about everything that had made him leave. He didn't know where to go, or what to do, about the whole Lance/Prophecy thing. It was getting close, very close, and he was feeling it; the war, the final battle, everything. As he was thinking about it all, that's when through the sound of the Engine he heard a siren, and he looked in the side view mirror, and saw the red and blue flashing lights. He looked down at his watch and smiled.

"Right on time." He said to himself as he pulled the Shelby over. The Cop got out of the car and walked to the side, and Josh smiled.

"Nice car." He said, he was younger, and fairly handsome. He would make a nice addition to Demora's clan. She always had a nice taste for picking her lords.

"Thanks. It's a classic."

"Yeah, well, I would like to say I pulled you over for the car, but you do know how fast you were going right?" He said as he pulled out a pin.

"Yup, 95.5 miles per hour, give or a take a couple of points. You know, gravity can really slow a car down going up hill." He said as he smiled.

"Well, I'm going to have to take you down to the station. Impound the car. Cause it seems that it has been reported stolen."

"Ahhh. Right. Well, can I at least drive it there? I promise I won't run off."

The Cop looked up at him and glared.

"Alright. So, let's just get this over with." Josh said. "I will follow you to where ever you’re taking me, and then I will get on my merry little way."

Ten minutes later, they were walking down a dark tunnel and he sensed the vampires in there watching him. But, there was only one he was interested in seeing, one that mattered.

"Josh!" A happy cheer came through as he entered a well-lit room, but blocked from the sunlight.

"Hey Demora! How's my favorite Vampiress?" Josh said as he walked over and gave her a hug.

"Fine. How's Lance?" She said as she held on to his hand.

"Oh, he’s starting to think about the Prophecy. I guess I'm not hiding it too well." Josh said with a smile.

She just shrugged her shoulders.

"I think you're going to love what I got for you." She led Josh over to a table, with pictures that covered it.

"What's this?" Josh said as he picked up the picture. "It's a church."

"That's right, but it's not just any church. It's a Church that was built on unholy ground. The only place where Vampires, and Slayers can fight, without any repercussions. This is where the final battle is going to take place." She said it with such glare that Josh felt the coldness of her voice go up his spine.

"Why here? Why not the Manor, or Houston? Why the church?"

"Damouse thinks that it will be better for both sides. He is playing by the rules. Just like he always does."

Josh nodded and then looked at her.

"So why bring me here?"

She walked over to her chair, and sat down. She crossed her legs like a perfect lady and her beauty only surpassed by her heart. In fact so much so, that she could easily walk in to a church and pray. In front of a cross, and not feel threatened by it. She was the exception to the Vampires; the New Orleans team was the exception to the Slayers. But if the council of Gods were to find out, she would be put to death along with all of her Legions.

"Chaos, and Cassandra, are coming back into town with Doctor Wilkes. They’re going after Dominic and Vanessa." She said, as she leaned back in her chair as Josh stood tall and strong.

"So?" He said, folding his arms. Then he stopped. And his eyes started to shine blue.

Demora smiled, ever so sweetly at Josh. And then stood and walked over to him, and placed her hands on the side of his face.

"Be strong. Don't let your guard down. Maybe, we've changed the Prophecy enough today." She said as she hugged him. "Well, you had better get back to Lance. He is probably worried." She said. Her soft features were pale. He nodded and ran out of the door.

"Where is that girl?!" Buffy said to herself as she walked around the top floor. Her hair was in a ponytail, and she had on a pair of tight blue jean shorts and a bikini top. All the Dream Masters were in the pool, and having fun. But of course Vanessa was nowhere to be found. Always being the party pooper Buffy thought. Then she heard something like a footstep, but when she turned around there was nothing there. But it was too loud to dismiss.

"Vanessa?" She said aloud. There was no response. But then she heard, the slight pound of feet, and she turned around to see Little Justin running down the hall, his dog right behind him. But, LJ stopped right in his tracks and Buffy, looked at him strangely. Then she bumped into something. Something big, and just as she turned around all she saw was chest. Buffy, being almost 6 feet tall, was about to scream, but a massive hand covered her mouth and a booming voice said,

"Shhhh pretty one."

LJ started to run but a woman snatched him up in her arms, and covered his mouth. She had a Vampire face, and when Buffy saw it she screamed through the hand. But it was so muffled no one could hear it.

Jack started to bark wildly as he ran back and forth. Cassandra looked at him, and snickered then kicked it. Jack went over the edge to the lobby floor 4 stories down. A yip, and a sickening thud was all that was heard. Little Justin let out a high-pitched scream. And Chaos and Cassandra didn't think anything of it. But they under estimated the power of a father’s hearing. And Chris ran out into the hall. And saw them there. With Buffy, and his Son.

"Guys! We have company!" Chris said mentally, and down the hall two doors flew open and Joey and Beryl ran out. Lance was on his way up the stairs and saw the mangled body of a Jack Russell terrier laying on one of the stairs, and Justin ran out of the atrium, and then him and Lance ran to the top.

Chaos had Buffy, and Cassandra had little Justin; the look of rage in Chris' eyes met her Crazy gaze.

"Buffy. I know you can hear me." Lance said to her. Her eyes moved over to his and they were big and full of fear.

"Now, listen very carefully. I need you to hit him as hard as you can, right in the nuts. He will let you go, but you have to be quick and get behind Joey and Beryl all right? Blink if you understand."

Buffy blinked, and then brought her elbow down to Chaos in the groin. As he bent over, Buffy ran right around him, and got behind Joey, who protected her with his hand.

"Well, isn't this fun!" Cassandra said as she started to spin little Justin around.

Josh hit the 18 mile straight way to the Manor, and floored it. The speed odometer started to reach the 130 miles per hour mark. He would be at the Manor in less than a minute. He just hoped he made it in enough time.

"You shouldn't have come here." Lance said as he pointed his sword down at the ground. He was addressing Chaos. Fear was coursing through his veins, but nothing more than usual. Chaos just rolled his eyes. Cassandra was still holding LJ. Chris took a step towards, to grab his son, but Cassandra held him over the balcony and said.

"Oh, stay back Daddy! Or he will end up like that little dog down there." She said. Chris took a step back, and then she laughed. "Stupid." She let LJ Fall. There was a scream, but and when there should have been a thud, there wasn't.

"Get him out of here!" Dom said. Leo, Sean, and Him were standing on the stairs, and had caught him as he fell. Leo ran out of the house into the bright daylight.

Chris flew through the air started to fight Cassandra. It was the first time his teammates had seemed him fight like that. The way he had perfected his moves, and improved them. He did two round houses in a row, making Cassandra stager back a bit, but as he was going to punch her she reached out and grabbed his hand. She looked at him almost lustfully and then hit him across the face. He staggered back. Chaos attacked Lance and Justin. He hit them so fast and so hard that they fell and rolled down the main staircase. Sonia, Dom, Sean, and Vanessa, ran to them quickly. Lance held his arm; it had begun to swell and was broken. Up at the top he saw Joey, Beryl, and Chris fighting Chaos, soon after, they joined Lance, and Justin, so only Chris was up there. Cassandra close lined him off the Balcony, and he fell. But teleported to where the others were.

"I claim this floor in the name of Vampires every where!" Cassandra yelled, as she ran to the front of the stairs. "Now, where is that handsome devil." Chaos turned towards her, and let out a huff.

"You’re not going to be able to stay up there forever!" Justin yelled as his eyes flashed blue.

"Oh, he is right. We’re going to have to eat sometime." Cassandra said looking at Dom. She let out a slight smile, and Dom started to walk up the Stairs. But Lance put his broken arm out to stop him.  And in the distance, Joey, heard the distinctive sound of an engine, roaring into the driveway.

"Josh is back." Joey whispered in to Lance's ears.

Chaos stood at the top of the stairs, and Lance looked over at Chris and Beryl.

"Go." He said as he moved his head towards them. There was a heavy breathing sound, and in an instant Beryl and Chris were gone. Cassandra quickly started getting thrown around by the un-seen Chris, and Beryl was attacking Chaos. Cassandra got her ass kicked, but Chaos had found Beryl quickly and was just about to bite down into his neck. Joey was already transformed, and ready to attack, but Chaos stopped and looked around at them then pushed Beryl to the floor.

"Chasez!" He shouted. "Show yourself you coward!" He flew to the floor, and then Josh's laugh could be heard filling the huge hall. Cassandra stopped getting kicked around, and Chris reappeared on the stairs.

Chaos slowly started to get up, and looked around again. Then he was thrown into the wall behind him and Josh, seemed to walk out of thin air.

"Didn't we kick your ass already?" Josh said cockily. Chaos snickered, and he walked towards Josh calmly. He stood right up next to Josh, towering over him. Josh looked up, still not afraid of the Goliath in front of him.

"You haven't killed me yet." Chaos said in a deep husky voice. And his eyes grew darker.

"Yes. But that will happen in due time. So, just leave here. Before I really get mad." Josh said as he lightly pushed on Chaos’ chest. It was clear to both of them that a fight would have to come later because there was no way to kill each other. Because in all reality they weren't there, it was all the work of Doctor Wilkes, who projected the images there. Suddenly, Chaos and Cassandra were gone in an instant. Just like a dream. Lance ran up to Josh holding his arm, and looked him in the eye.

"I'm still pissed at you. But I'm glad you came back." Lance said as he kissed Josh on the cheek.

Josh took Lance's arm ever so carefully, and then looked at Joey.

"Take care of that will you?" And walked off in Library. Joey walked over and felt something strange. It was as if something was being pulled out of his body, and into Lance. And suddenly, Lance's arm healed. Joey had a new power, one that would make him the most valuable Slayer on the team; the power to heal, and not only just scraps and bruises, but to heal, the sick, and dying, to mend broken bones.

Last Time . . .

This Time . . .

Josh sat at the desk in the library, writing on a piece of paper. His eyes were filled with tears, but not falling. Justin watched him for a couple of minutes, just watching, being so quiet that Josh didn’t even notice him. It was something that he had learned a long time ago.

"Hey." he said as he walked into the room.

"Hey!" Josh said shocked as he folded up the paper and put it in his back pocket.

Justin walked over and sat down next to him and grabbed the spell book. He moved his hands over it, and the paper flew to where he wanted it to stop.

"I was looking through this last night. Couldn't find what I was looking for. I've never seen a blank page in this book. It's almost as if someone with great power just wiped it clean." Justin said as he looked up at Josh. "You wouldn't know anything about that would you?"

Josh sighed, and looked around the library. He got up and walked to the window that over looked the gardens, that during the Spring would be so beautiful, and filled with color. He missed them. They helped keep him calm.

"Josh." Justin's voice rang in his head.

Clearly getting his attention. Josh turned around, looked at him, and lightly smiled. Justin had the worried look he always used to have; his eyes seemed to grow warmer over the past week. And Josh was happy. Everything was how it was supposed to be. All except for one thing, but Josh was hesitant about it. Now, everyone was happy. Except for one little boy who was down the hall. His puppy, and really only friend to play with was laying on the stairs, with Chris picking it up to carry it, and dig a hole and throw it in the ground. If it weren’t for Jack, Buffy and Little Justin would probably be dead. That dog wasn't supposed to die. Josh knew that. Somehow that dog would play a vital role in things to come. But he didn't know how, or why. But, he did know that his most powerful magic would have to be used to give Jack life again.

"Excuse me Curly." Josh said as he ran out of the Library. He saw Chris walking out the door with Jack, and he saw LJ crying in Buffy's arms. Justin was right behind him, and Lance, had just come out of the den, making sure that even though it was daylight, no Vampires were around. They all followed him; everyone in the Manor in fact.

"Chris!" Josh said running down the steps of the Manor.

Chris turned around, his eyes slightly swollen, from seeing his son crying, and that in his arms, was the last bit of money he spent on his son, and because of him, Jack was dead now.  Josh quickly ran over to Chris, and took Jack out of his arms.

"Babe? What are you doing?" Lance asked.

Josh ignored him. The limp puppy was lying in his arms; it's small tongue hanging out. It's fur was still extremely soft, only he had gone cold in the 20 to 30 minutes that he had been lying on the cold Marble floor.

Josh walked over to Lance, and smiled at him. Lance frowned.

"Okay. Here’s the deal babe. I show you everything I can do, and you leave me alone about the Prophecy. Nothing at all. K?"

Lance was taken back by Josh’s tone of voice; it was almost childlike, but still remained.

"Alright." Lance said. He frowned.

"Good." Josh said as he kissed him lightly on the lips. And then walked into the house.

Everyone stayed outside, their breath all hanging in the air.

"Daddy, why. . . Is . . . he . . . he . . . taking Jack?" LJ asked. Chris didn't understand why, but followed Josh inside. Josh walked to the center of the lobby and laid down the puppy, and got down on his knees.

"Josh, okay, your freaking me out here man." Joey said as he watched his friend moving his hands slowly over the dog. Josh didn't pay any attention. Suddenly his head shot up, and his eyes started to glow white. The circle of power on the floor, the one that had brought them all back together, started to glow and Josh’s emblem on the floor started to grow. A white energy went from his emblem to the others, and once the circle was glowing, all the light went towards the middle where Jack lay. Jack started to glow with the light, it all stopped suddenly and Josh fell to the floor trying to catch his breath. Lance quickly grabbed Josh, who was shaking and seemed to be cold. No one was paying attention to Jack, until he barked, and ran to LJ. They all looked in amazement. Jack was fine, and his tail was wagging. Lance's eyes filled with tears as he looked down at JC.

"No more questions." Josh said lightly.

"No more questions." Lance said.

Beryl was walking down the hall to his room. He was thinking about what Josh had done. It was almost unreal. How could one man hold so much power? How could he just bring something that was dead, back to life in such a way? Beryl was worried about this power. It was nothing like he had ever seen or heard of before. But his thoughts were disturbed as he bumped into Joey.

"Oh, sorry Ber." Joey said as he grabbed Beryl by the shoulders out of shock. Beryl closed his eyes and remembered when Joey would call him that. He liked it. No one ever called him Ber.

"Hey, are you alright?" Joey asked as he brushed Beryl's hair back. Just like he used to when he was worried, old habits being hard to break.

Beryl placed his hands on the side of Joey's face and lightly rubbed his finger under his ear. Joey looked at him and smiled lightly.

"I miss that." Joey said as he closed his eyes. Then he felt Beryl's lips lightly press to his. Beryl's hands moved behind Joey's head, lightly massaging the back of it. Joey wrapped his arms around Beryl's back and slowly crept into Joey's room as the doors shut slowly.

Lance was walking around the Manor. He was trying not to think of what Josh had done. It was beyond belief. He had seen Josh do stuff like it before. But they were to inanimate objects, not a living breathing thing. So, he tried not to think about it. He wasn't thinking at all actually. So, he walked into his bedroom to see Josh sitting at a chair, with a pair of wire frame glasses on. Josh had on a black turtleneck sweater, and his hair looked almost black except for where the desk lamp hit it. He was looking over some papers, for Jive, and he was deep in thought.

"I haven't seen those in awhile." Lance said as he walked over and kissed Josh on the cheek. Josh didn't turn his head but lightly smiled.

"I don't really need them, but a cute blond told me one time I looked good in them . . . I think it was Justin."

Lance turned and smiled at him, sat down on the bed, and took his shoes off.

"So, I thought you were supposed to be resting?"

"I am." Josh said as the pen ran over the paper he was working on.

"No, you’re working." Lance got up, and walked over and ran his hands over Josh's arms.

"That's how I rest. You know that." Josh said as he flipped over a paper and grabbed another one.

"Why are you wearing those things?" Lance said as he tapped them with his finger.

Josh turned around and smiled at him. "They’re x-ray vision glasses." He said as he looked up and down Lance. "They work pretty good too."

Lance smiled, pulled them off, and sat them on the desk.

"If you want to see me naked all you have to do is ask." Lance said smiling.

"Oh, no! Last time you did something like that, you cock teased me." Josh said as he spun in his chair, and grabbed his pen. There was only a couple of seconds, but he felt something soft hit him, and cover his vision. When he pulled it off his head. He saw that it was Lance's shirt. He turned around and saw Lance standing there without his shirt on. His milky white skin seemed to glow in the light of the desk lamp.

"Well! Come on! I took my shirt off!"

Josh stood up and walked over to him and smiled. He took his shirt off and they began to kiss.

Josh lay next to Lance; he was snuggled close to him. Lance’s eyelids danced around and he smiled as he dreamt. Josh brushed his hair back and said,

"I love you. Always remember that." He got out of bed, and walked out of the room. He found his way to Justin’s room, and saw him sleeping. He looked just like he did when he was 15, always as peaceful as anyone could be asleep. Josh stood over him for a while then walked out. Down to Joey's room. He smiled when he saw Joey and Beryl together, and whispered.

"One for the road?" And then shut the door.

Chris was the last stop, for some reason, Chris was the one that he felt the most strongly connected to now. But, it wasn't like it used to be. Josh stayed there, perfectly still for the next ten minutes. He would smile as he looked at him. He then closed the door, and walked down the halls of the Manor remembering everything he could. Every detail of every little thing in there, all he could think about was the upcoming battle that was going to take place in a church not more that 80 miles from the Manor. He wondered what was going to happen, and what was going to go on. He didn't know anything of the battle, except for one thing.

This Time . . .

"GOOD MORNING NEVER LAND!" Josh yelled down the Dream Masters hall.

It was nearly 5AM and it was time for them to get on their way to . . . wherever they were going. Go back in time, stop the deaths of each member of *NSYNC, and then the final battle. Josh was in an extremely good mood, and when the Dream Masters started to slowly emerge from their rooms, in nightgowns and boxers, Josh smiled.

"So! How are we this morning?"

Johnny extending his middle finger then smiled at Josh, turned around and went back to his room.

"Alright, Dream Masters, time to wake up, and get ready." Josh said as he walked down the hall towards Johnny's room.

"Damn it Josh, put me down." Johnny said as Josh carried him out on his shoulder.

"You all have one hour." He said as he sat Johnny down, and walked up the stairs and into Justin’s room.

Justin lay sleeping peacefully on his bed, his hair a mess, his blanket all the way up to his neck, and one leg hanging over the side. Josh smiled, and then looked at Justin with an almost evil glare. The post on the bed, started to move down towards Justin and the bed started to shake lightly. It shook just enough for Justin to wake up, and when he did, he saw the four bedposts, moving towards him, he quickly rolled out of the bed, and grabbed his gun, and pointed it at Josh.

"JC! Jesus Christ! What the hell did you do that for?" Justin said as he lowered the Gun.

"How else was I going to get you out of bed?" Justin smiled, and then yawned as Josh left.  “Oh, and put on some clothes before you join us!” Josh said sticking his head back in the room and looking playfully at Justin’s bare crotch.

“’IT’S STILL BIGGER THAN YOURS!” Justin yelled as he heard Josh laugh from the hallway.

“They’re gonna come in for us soon . . .” Beryl said, lying next to Joey with his head on his chest.

“So . . .” Joey said with one arm around Beryl and the other behind his head.

“We should get dressed and meet them downstairs.”

“Do we have to?”

“Yeah . . .”

“It’s time isn’t it?”

“Time to what?”

“Go back . . .”

“Yeah . . . it is.”

“This is by far the scariest battle we’ve ever had to fight!”

“Yup . . .”

“I mean, what happens if one of us screws up?”

“Don’t worry, we won’t!”

“What if we don’t like what we see and we try and help!?”

“You have to try your best not to. This is serious shit here . . . The slightest thing could alter our every existence!”

“Well, I guess we just have to get in and get out before that happens.”

“Yup . . .”

“Come on, let’s get dressed.”

As everyone gathered in the dining room for breakfast, Josh stood at the head of the table and cleared his throat, catching everyone’s attention.

“Ok, we have a long day ahead of us! I want everyone to eat up, we’re gonna need our strength. I’ve called the other teams and have given them their instructions. We’re going to have a few teams stationed in various places in and outside the Manor. In case of security breach, the circle of power’ll still protect us. It’s going to create an energy field so powerful that no one is going to be able to penetrate it, not even a god!”

”What about New Orleans?” Lance asked.

“Don’t worry about them. I’ve informed a few of the heads of some of the teams. They know how to handle them.”

“Do they know?” Justin asked.

“Who? New Orleans, or the Gods?”

“The Dream Masters!”

“Oh! Um . . .”

“Do we know what?” Dom asked.

“The New Orleans team is working for one of the Vampires, but it’s ok cause we have it under control.”

“Um . . . somehow that doesn’t seem too reassuring!” Vanessa said.

“Don’t worry darlin, if they say they got it under control, I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about!” Buffy said winking at Josh as he blushed.

“Ok, so can we go over the plan one more time?” Leo asked.

“Yeah, just to make sure we got everything!” Sean added.

“No problem.” Josh said as everyone now looked at him. “Each of us will take a spot along the circle of power. There are five spots, one for each of us, and before you ask about where Beryl’s gonna go, just wait till I get to that!” Josh said just as Sonia was about to ask that question. “We will each sit on our designated spots, and our assigned Dream master will sit in front of us.”

“We haven’t assigned Dream Masters yet.” Justin said.

“I know, we will in a minute!”

“Ok.”

”So, as I was saying, once we start the process, it’ll take about a half hour for the circle to charge up enough energy for the shield to be impenetrable. As Xaina told us, Chris will be going back to Beryl’s past, Beryl will be going back to my past, and I will be going back to Chris’ past. Joey will be going back to Lance’s past, Lance will be going back to Justin’s past, and Justin will be going back to Joey’s past. Any questions?”

“Yeah, when is this all gonna happen?” Dom asked.

“Sun down, tonight.”

“Ok . . . So, WHY ARE WE UP SO FUCKING EARLY?!” Leo shouted.

“Hey!” Chris scolded. “Watch your mouth in front of my son!”

“Oh . . . sorry!” He said putting his head down.

“Well, to answer that question, it’s because we have to figure out when exactly we’re going!” Josh said gaining back everyone’s attention.

“How’re we gonna do that?” Justin asked.

“One, Justin’s book, it has things listed about the Prophecy, we might come across something. Two, CIDS, maybe there is something in our files that might tell us something. Three, the Oracle, although she can’t get involved in the fight, she might be able to tell us when we have to go. There’s also Father Ramovski, the Vatican, the General, anything we can get our hands on that might help us!”

“So basically, we’re doing an all out cram fest till sundown?” Lance asked.

“Yup!”

“Cool!”

“So, everyone to the library!” Josh ordered as everyone got up and followed him.

As they all entered the massive library, Josh started to give out assignments.

“Ok, most of you will be on book duty, see all these books? They all have something to do with Vampires, the paranormal and anything and everything we’ve ever come across or might in the future! There’s also some stuff about us in these books, not specifically by name, but we are known as, if you haven’t figured it out already, the Chosen Ones. When it’s plural, it’s referring to all of us, if it’s singular, it’s referring to just me. Anything you can find having to do with a vulnerability, or weak spot in our lifeline, you let one of us know! Justin, you have all the spell books, Lance, you got CIDS, Father Ramovski is on his way with some sacred texts that might be of some use. I’m going to go contact the Oracle and any other source that I might have. General Everton has offered his military back up should we need it at anytime. If so, you just inform CIDS to call the General. Any questions?”

“I have one . . .” Vanessa said.

“Yeah?”

“Would accounts from the Druids be with Justin’s books, or the Vatican’s?”

“Both because Jus’ books are accounts written by the Druids, and since the Vatican seized much of their sources during the conquest of Europe, they mixed.”

“Oh . . . Ok!”

“Anybody else?”

“No.” They all responded.

“I’ll help you look through those spell books Justin!” Vanessa said walking over to Justin.

“No, wait! I have something for you to do!” Josh said stopping her.

“What?” She asked.

“You too Beryl!”

“What?” He asked equally as confused.

“I want you guys to go to the atrium, and search the Astral and Spiritual planes and see if you can get us some answers. Ask your guides, go to the hall of records, do whatever! Just try and find some useful info!”

“Ok let’s go!” Vanessa said always welcoming a journey to the Astral plane.

“Joey, Justin! Take some books and go with Vanessa and Beryl to the Atrium!”

“Sure thing boss!” Joey said.

“Ok, everybody get to work, and contact me if you need anything!” Josh said walking out of the library.

“Um . . . so what are we doing?” Justin asked.

“You heard the man, ‘Grab some books and go to the atrium!’” Joey said mimicking Josh’s voice to exact perfection.

“Shut up, you know what I mean! And I wasn’t talking to you!”

“You’re coming with us to the atrium!” Beryl said.

“I know that!” Justin said getting frustrated.

“We have to search the Astral and Spiritual planes to find some answers!” Vanessa said laughing at his impatience.

“Thank you!” Justin said smiling as they made their way to the atrium.
