Battle for the Dream Masters

Chapter 28

Last Time . . .

"You've gotten much better. I'm proud of you."

She smiled, proud of herself, and said,

"Thanks Doc. But you do realize that I have to kill you now right?"

"Oh, I wouldn't have it any other way."

She clasped her hands together, and did something the Doc didn't expect. The fire circle fell away, and Sonia, and Leo charged in. The Doc looked around and then at Vanessa. He sneered then vanished.

Lance awoke quickly and sat up. He looked around the den then lay back down.

"Weird fucking dream."

This Time . . .

"You were fucking awesome!" Leo cheered as he hugged her. Her ribs were still sore from the fight, and she lightly pushed him away and looked at him. "Oh, sorry!" He said as he put his hand on the side of her body.

"Excuse you!" She said smacking his hand away.

"She's fine." Sonia said in almost a nasal, snobby voice.

"I was pretty awesome though wasn't I?"

"No, shit Sherlock."

"I really like the part with the glowing eyes, and lighting bolt." Sonia said smiling cheerfully. "Very nice touch."

Vanessa blushed lightly, and said,

"Well, so . . . It worked didn't it?"

An hour later.

"Stephen! This is Josh Chasez . . . Not much. Look I need you and your team down here by tonight. We've got some things we all need to take care of . . . Yeah, see yah then."

He hung up the phone and rested his head on the table. Lance walked in and sat down next to him.

"So, how'd it go?" He said taking a sip from a coke.

"Just got off the phone with the LA team. Boston, Philadelphia, Orlando, Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Denver, San Francisco, Sacramento, and Pittsburgh are all on their way now. General Everton is on stand by, the White House is still white, and I'm hungry. How about some dinner?"

"Sure, lets go to Anton’s. That's sounds good about now. What about the other teams?"

"Chris is taking care of the Middle East and Africa. Justin is getting Moscow, Berlin and the rest of Northern Europe. Beryl is getting the Caribbean, South America and Australia. Joey’s got Canada, Asia and Southern Europe. So, in all, there are going to be 49 slaying teams watching our backs. And the best the US army has to offer.”

“Good thing the fates started to bring forth more teams back in the millennium!”

“Well, the appending apocalypse gave more reason for the Vamps to feed and spread throughout the world, so, they were needed.”

“I know . . . but it’s weird, when we started, there were only what . . . like four teams? Now . . . there’s almost 50!”

“And we’re at the top of the list!”

“The Chosen Ones . . .”

“Kinda heavy ain’t it?”

“Yeah, but we can handle it!” Lance said as he smiled and kissed Josh on the side of the head, then got up and started to walk away.

"Babe?" Josh said as he looked up at Lance.

"Yeah?" Lance turned around and looked at him.

"You know, that I don't ever mean to hurt you . . . you know that right?"

Lance smiled and looked at Josh and said,

"If I thought you meant to hurt me, you wouldn't be a Tenor, you would be a Soprano."

"And, what makes you think I would let you get close enough to them?" Josh said with a cocky smile.

Lance, cocked his head to one side, and looked up at the ceiling of the front room, smiled lightly and looked back at Josh.

"Because, I know, where to touch you to make you giddy like a school girl. I know parts to kiss that drive you insane." He said as he walked to Josh, putting the coke down on the mantle next to the Grammy’s.

"I know how to play with your hair just right."

Josh was looking at Lance smiling, with nothing but love, and lust in his eyes. Then Lance straddled him, placed his hands on his chest and kissed him on the lips.

"And maybe, I have just enough power over the all mighty Chosen One, that I can have him waver to my every command." Lance said as he kissed him again.

"Oh, you think you have that much power over me?" Josh said putting his hands on Lance's thigh.

"I know I do." Lance said smiling running his middle finger lightly behind Josh's ear, moving the hair just slightly. Josh closed his eyes, and let some small breaths escape his lips, and leaned his head into his hand, and lightly began with his other hand to rub his stomach.

"And you know what else I know?" Lance said seductively in to Josh's ear.

"Hmm" Josh said putting his head to Lances.

"You're an easy cock tease." Lance said as he got up and ran out of the room.

"OH! You little shit! You're mine now!" Josh said as he took off out of the living room Chasing Lance up the stairs. Lance reached the top, and put his hands on one of the pillars and looked down the stairs.

"OH Shit!" He said as he let out of laugh and started to run down the hall. Josh was right behind him, and gaining. Lance, was laughing as he kept looking back. Then really quickly he ran into the library where Father Ramovski, and Beryl were looking up files on Chaos.

"Hey guys!" Lance said as he ran by them.

"Hey." Josh said the same thing.

They ran over to a waste high bookshelf, and Lance put both his hands on it laughing, as Josh did the same on the other side. They were looking at each other with eyes that true love, and happiness comes from.

"Did you find anything on that Vampire yet?" Lance said as he jumped to one side, making Josh do the same thing.

"No, he isn't in any of the main Vampire data banks. But we’re checking other ones."

"Good, let us know if you find anything." Josh said as Lance jumped to the other side, making him jump.

"Will do." Beryl said smiling at the two.

Lance looked at Josh and put his head close to the table, then took off like a bat out of hell. Josh moved nearly as quickly, but Lance was ahead of him and they went hauling ass down the hall. Lance started running down the main staircase to the lobby. Skipping steps as he went. Josh was right behind him. Lance took off into the ballroom, and through the other doors on the other side. Their feet echoed in the ballroom, as well as their laughter. As the door shut to the ballroom he hid behind one of the pillars, and put his back to it. When Josh came tearing through the door, he stopped and looked around. He had a smile on his face. Lance's face was nearly up against the pillar, biting his bottom lip, and smiling at the same time. When Josh moved so that his back was facing Lance, Lance ran out and wrapped his arms around Josh, pinning his arms to his side. He jumped with fright, but knew it was Lance a second after.

"Got yah. What are you going to do?" Lance said as he ran his hands across Josh's stomach.

"Don't know. I'm getting to be in a pretty tough spot. I could just use my strength, but you have enough to make me have some trouble. And who said I want to do anything about it?" Josh said as he smiled evilly.

"Good point." Lance said as he started to kiss the side of Josh's neck. Down to his shoulder. Then let go and ran off out into the ballroom again.

"God! I'm soooo good at that."

"You are soooo going to die!" Josh yelled as he took off after him.

Lance was running through the ballroom; he looked behind him and Josh was about to grab his shirt. Lance ran as fast as he could, giving him some space between him and Josh. He ran close enough to a wall so he could run up and flip over Josh’s head, causing him to land behind him, and push him into the wall, then ran out the door. Josh looked as he saw Lance bolt out the door, he slowly walked out, his head down, listening for footsteps, and breathing. Above him, he could hear the sound of feet running.

"Nikes . . . old, falling apart . . . Third . . . Fourth floor." Josh said to himself then took off running up the stairs. He ran to the third floor where he noticed that one of the doors was ajar. He thought for a moment, and that's when he ran to the other door that was shut and up to the forth floor balcony.

From the open door, Lance walked out slowly and quietly, and then ran down the stairs.

"Where the hell did he go?" Josh said to himself as he looked over the courtyard of the manor.

"Hey, Josh?" He heard Lance’s voice boom. "Why are yah all the way up there?"

Josh looked over the edge and saw Lance smiling and waving.

"God! You are such a pain in my ass!" Josh yelled back smiling.

"SO!" Lance frowned and yelled back.

Josh climbed up on the top of the balcony, and lightly floated down to Lance.

"You still hungry?"

Lance nodded and they walked towards the garage. There they saw Joey, Justin, and Chris sitting on the hood of one of the BMW's. They handed the two of them a sheet of paper and walked into the house smiling.

"We all want pizza, breadsticks and drinks. Thanks. PS you’re buying."

They rolled their eyes, got into one of the cars and drove off; still with 3 hours of daylight left.

Damouse walked in front of a table, and sat down. In front of him were all 56 Gods, the most powerful ever. His most valued allies, and trusted friends; they looked at him with pride and honor. His favorites had to be Demora and Cassandra, both so beautiful and both extremely deadly. Demora with her soft Asian features always smiled; even to people she was going to kill. When she wasn't feeding, she would laugh and joke with them, and even play poker until all hours of the night. It brought new meaning to “playing with your food”. Cassandra, like Demora, was soft in appearance, but evil even to look at. Her methods of killing were brutal and most often very messy, and she loved every minute of it. Damoka, shy, in a way, handsome, and yet strangely childlike, but with a dark evil stare that would drive men to tears, to compliment his ebony skin. These three gods, along with the other ten gods that made up the council, sat and looked at Damouse with strange intrigue. The other gods, the ones that were not as powerful, watched him also with the same intrigue.

Next to Damouse stood Chaos, his hands folded neatly in his lap. His purpose was to watch the other gods. It was clear now; the war was going to start. All the gods have been drawn to Houston, and the battlefield had been chosen. Damouse smiled, he knew that the Chosen Ones had the Dream Masters, and he knew that it was not going to be easy. That is why he was sending the Doctor, along with Demora, Damoka, and a select few others to take them out before they utilized the Dream Masters’ powers. As for the psychic slayer, he would be nothing to worry about. Damouse had heard all the Families had left their respected cities. Perhaps Josh, was making a war council of his own. How glorious that would be, The Chosen VS The Gods. He smiled to himself. Even in the presence of all his other allies.

He sat, and looked around, Gods and Lords lined the back wall; the smell of human blood was fresh on all of their breath. They sat quietly discussing what was to be done. Most of them knew that the council was looking for the Dream Masters, and most of them knew where they were, FoxGlove Manor.

Damouse lightly hit his cane on the tabletop getting everyone’s attention. He stood and looked over the table proudly.

"My friends, the time is nearing, and this is to be the first war council ever assembled since the days of the great one." He said as he sat back down. "And nothing . . . Not even the Chosen Ones will be able to stand in our way." An evil smile escaped his lips as he leaned back in the chair. The Gods began to talk again. The words were music to his ears.

"I get Boston Team! Those bastards have fucked with me long enough." One said, his Vampire face forming.

Demora and Damoka looked around the room, and then to Chaos.

"Chaos." Demora said, her voice strong and not full of fear. She held her pride well; Chaos thought the same, and he respected her for that.

"Yes?" He said, not evilly, nor rude, as if addressing a stranger.

"Damoka and I, have legions standing by just outside D.C. We want Damouse to attack FoxGlove again. But he won't listen to us. We were hoping that you would be more helpful in the matter."

Chaos pushed the hair back from his eyes and said,

"Demora, I would like nothing more than to attack FoxGlove again. It would rest my mind to know that I was going to kill the Chosen Ones. But Damouse and I both agree that an assault on the Manor again would be foolish. However, you both have control over your clans regardless of Damouse. Attack the Manor. But be forewarned that it is not that easy."

Demora, and Damoka looked at each other and nodded. Soon after they were on cell phones contacting their Lords, and telling them that a small attack was to be ordered. But they were not allowed to enter the Manor; just to make sure that their presence was known by the Chosen Ones.
