“So you said we have run of the house?”
“Yeah, just think of this as your home. But, you know, don’t like, break stuff or anything.” Josh said with a smile.
“Oh please!” She said as she ran up the stairs and all the others went there own separate ways.
Josh walked along with Lance into the living room and sat down on the couch next to each other. JC grabbed the remote and turned on the TV. They sat and cuddled close to each other, watching Saturday morning cartoons.
“Oh, he is doin just fine suga, just fine. He is actually following in your footsteps kinda.” She said as she flipped over the pancakes.
“Well, how do you mean that?” Justin asked, his eyes cold and hard.
“Music. He isn’t going big like you are, were… I should say.” She said sweetly.
Justin just nodded and then started walking around the kitchen.
“And my dad?” Justin asked quickly.
“He is doing fine.”
“What about my mom? Do you know?”
“Look suga, I don’t know why you faked your death and all, but you have at least got to talk to them. I mean, I’m sure they would understand. My parents did.” She said as she put all the food onto plates for everyone.
“Oh yeah. Hey mom, dad, sorry I faked my death, but I’m really a Vampire Slayer! I’m sure that would go over well.”
Buffy stopped and looked at him.
“I see your point. So umm how do I tell that computer thingy of yours that the food is getting cold.
“CIDS.” Justin said.
“Yes, Justin?”
“Will you please tell everyone in the manor that their food is getting cold?”
Suddenly, throughout the house CIDS voice echoed, and about five minutes later everyone walked into the kitchen, and could smell the food from the lobby.
“Do I smell pancakes?” Chris asked as he walked into the room carrying a dog and a little boy.
“Sure do suga. Just set your cute little behind down, and I will make your taste buds tingle.” She said with her thick southern drawl.
“I think his taste buds are already are tingling.” Lance said, as he looked at Josh and laughed.
Josh just smiled his sweet little smile.
“Fuck you Lance.” Josh said telepathically.
Lance just smiled, then took a fork full of food in his mouth. They say at the table and talked each to their respected parties. ‘N Sync was talking about the damage done to the house. There was some people coming out to do repairs and up the security system on the house and they had a day to do it. Josh and Lance were always amazed at how fast everything got done, in only a matter of hours the house would be repaired and the weapons systems up and running.
The Dream Masters were talking about their situation at hand. They were all afraid and didn’t understand what was going on. Doctor Wilkes had told them about their powers but they thought that they were unique, and that it was just them in the world. But now they find out that there are slayers, and Vampires, and god knows what else out there. But on the other hand, if these guys were Vampire slayers, they were the good guys. They seemed nice enough, yet they still decided to be on the safe side. At all times they would be ready to defend themselves and ready to leave at a moments notice.
“I want each of you to scout this place out. See what you can find. Anything that could be used to help us get out of here if we need to.” Dominic said commandingly.
They all nodded in agreement to his orders. He held out his hand and put it on the table they were all sitting at, one by one they put their hands on the table and looked at each other.
“We are all we got left. We have to watch out for one another.” Dominic said as they took their hands off the table, and kept eating.
After everyone was done eating breakfast they all went about their own business. Chris was taking little Justin out to see the horses, and then go ride. They had to take an ATV out there because they were pretty far away. Justin was looking through the spell book, noticing all the pictures had changed except for one, the picture that sent Josh insane when he first saw it. The picture they saw when they first started the slaying. The picture with Lance’s saber sticking trough Josh’s chest. Joey, was talking on his cell phone to his agent, getting very upset.
“No Tom! No, I don’t know when I’m going to be back!”
Lance and Josh were working on some bookwork for Jive. The Dream Masters were out exploring the Manor.
Buffy had the ground floor. She started in the living room and made her way around. She found the gorgeous dining room, she smiled and ran her hand down the long wooden table. She walked out into the lobby and noticed that there was a balcony on the very top level, about 80 feet in the air or so, and the light from the dome was shining down on it. She had to marvel at the beauty of it all. As she was looking around the lobby she noticed the two huge wooden doors that lead into the ballroom. She opened one of the doors and stepped in, not really looking at the room until she was inside. The nearly afternoon sun was casting rays into the ballroom and she walked in and looked around. She bowed into a curtsy as if there was a young man asking her to dance. She put her arms up and began to spin in music that wasn’t there, her eyes closed and a smile on her face. Little did she know that Joey was watching her, he smiled greatly and slowly started to walk towards her.
Vanessa was walking around the second level. She noticed that the Manor was very strange in the way it was made. She could tell there were all kinds of designs mixed together from different times, but two of the major ones she could tell were Victorian and Gothic, which combined, made a gorgeous display. As she was walking down one of the long hallways she could hear some grunting and some sounds as if something was hitting something else. As she got closer she could see someone jumping around back and forth hitting a punching bag. He was wearing baggy workout pants that held to his hips and lightly fanning out as they got further down his legs. He didn’t have a shirt on and his well-defined body was lightly sweating. Vanessa watched with her breath was taken away. She stood there and watched for a minute. Nothing seemed unusual about his fighting, and she was enjoying herself watching. Suddenly he stopped hitting the bag, walked over and started to wipe the sweat off his head.
Justin hadn’t noticed her watching him as he worked out but when she stepped into the room he noticed her. Her shoulder length, dyed, straight red hair, her tanned complexion gave her an exotic look. She walked towards him almost like she was afraid, but her eyes showed no fear. Her nicely shaped body was covered with baggy jeans and a black cut off shirt.
“Hey... Vanessa right?” Justin said as he threw the towel down on the bench.
“Yeah.” She muttered out.
Justin just nodded and then started to walk over to the punching bag again.
“Did you come here to workout? Or just exploring?” He asked, his slight Russian accent sent shivers down her spine.
“Well, I was exploring, but um, I think I might go take a run around the Manor here pretty soon.”
“Oh, well, good luck! Don’t get lost!”
“Would you like to join me?”
“Um…. nah, I can’t. I gotta finish working out. Then I gotta take care of some things.” Justin said, his southern accent peeping through.
“You have quite an accent, a mixture of Southern and….. Russian?”
“Yeah, I spent a few years in Russia, you pick it up after awhile.”
“What else did you pick up?”
“Well, I can drink a whole bottle of vodka without passing out.”
“That’s useful.”
“Yup, specially when you’re at a drinking party.”
“Well……”
“Yeah….”
“I’m gonna go walk around some more, you sure you don’t wanna join me?”
“Yeah, I gotta finish this.”
“Ok, if you change your mind, come and find me.”
“Ok.”
Dominic was walking down near the library, his eyes scanning the area while he looked around. As he peeked in one of the rooms he saw that the library was filled with books and a computer. He walked over and sat down on front of the computer and started to look through the files. He came across a sort of journal on the computer, and thinking that he might find some useful information, he read it.
Sean was outside looking around seeing if there was something out there that could be useful, when he heard the sound of horse’s feet crushing the snow. As he looked over his shoulder he saw Chris, and his son riding past in a gallop. He could hear the laugh of Little Justin as the horse ran by him and down the road that lead to the gates. He shook his head and walked back into the house from the patio and from there he went into the atrium. He saw the broken glass lying around and bent down to pick it up. He then looked at the plants that were in there and noticed that some of them had frost on them, which meant their death was coming soon. He walked over to the heater on the side and turned it up, trying to save what he could tell were rare plants.
Leo went up to his room, pulled out his CD player and started to listen to music. Disobeying the orders given to him by Dominic.
Sonia was wandering around the hallways of the giant, castle-like house; she was lost. Where or what she was supposed to be looking, she didn’t know. As she turned a corner, Dominic ran into her, and they both fell on the floor.
“Oh my god! I’m so sorry Sonia! I didn’t see you there!” Dominic said getting up and helping her up as well.
“It’s ok, but why the rush?” She said dusting herself off.
“I found some major stuff! I was just going to round everybody up and have a meeting.”
“Ok, I’ll help you find them!”
“Thanks. Did you find anything?”
“No…. I kinda got lost.”
“Oh, that’s ok. Well, let’s just find the others.”
After about a half-hour of searching the house, they managed to find everybody. They all met back in the living room of their floor and sat around Dominic.
“What’s up?” Vanessa asked.
“I found some major dirt on these guys!” Dominic said taking the file that he had printed out, out of his back pocket.
“Yes, we know! You’ve been sayin that for the passed half-hour!” Leo said.
“Yeah, what did you find?” Sean asked.
“Well, apparently, all is not happy in slayer-ville!” Dom said opening the file.
“What do you mean?” Sonia asked.
“Well, ok, you know how they said they were that singing group or something?”
“Yeah.” They all said.
“Well, this little file here is the story of how they broke up.”
“Big deal, they’re not singing anymore!” Leo said.
“Oh, I don’t mean how they broke up as a group, but how they broke up as a team.”
“What does it say Dom?” Vanessa asked.
“Get comfy, this might take awhile.”
After all situating them selves somewhere comfortable, He began.
“This is all your fault Josh!” Justin said a little out of breath.
“My fault? How the hell is it MY fault?” JC said looking at Justin.
“You just had to investigate! You couldn’t just leave it alone. I said we’d come back afterwards, but you said, ‘No, we got plenty of time!’ Now look, we’re practically an hour late!”
“Would you two just shut up and keep running?!” Chris said.
“Why can’t you just teleport us all there?”
“Too many people, too great of a risk!”
“Look, it’s only a couple more blocks, and we’re there! Can we just PLEASE discuss this later?” Joey said.
“He’s right, let’s just concentrate on getting there first.” Lance said.
The five Chosen Ones had graduated from just slaying vampires. Although their expertise was in slaying vampires, they had started to take on other demons that threatened mankind. On their way to a benefit honoring them, set up by their fans, Josh heard a noise in an alley and wanted to check it out. Justin tried to stop him, as they were already running a little late, but JC as persistent as he was, convinced the guys to go with him to check things out. They went into the alley and walked right into some sort of sacrificial ceremony, hosted by three really big demons in brown monk robes. They were standing in a circle chanting something.
“What the fuck?!” JC said as he saw what was going on.
The three demons looked at the intruders and turned towards them. As they slowly moved towards them, Justin noticed for the first time, what was inside the circle.
“Oh shit! They’re gonna kill them!” He yelled as he noticed two people tied up, passed out and placed in a circle that had symbols painted inside of it. “Chris, get those two out of there! We’ll handle these guys!”
As the four members fought off the not so tough demons, Chris teleported over to the two victims. He untied them, and teleported them to safety then joined back up with the guys and helped them kill them.
“See, that wasn’t that hard!” JC said, “If we didn’t come along those people would be dead!”
“Yeah, but now we’re late!” Justin said.
“Come on, let’s get goin!” Lance said.
By the time they got to their appearance, the fans were getting restless. The people who were putting it on were getting more and more pissed, each minute that the guys were late. They were having a hard time controlling the crowds who were on the point of breaking out into riots if the guys didn’t show up soon. Finally, just as the person who was trying to maintain the crowd on stage, was just about to be killed, he announced that NSYNC had just arrived. The crowd started chanting their name. After apologizing to everybody for being late, the guys, still a little pissed at each other made their way onto stage. They greeted the crowd, apologized to them, then sat at this long table that was set up for them. As the ceremony began, the guys were telepathically arguing with each other.
“If we would’ve taken any longer a riot would’ve broken out!” Justin said.
“Would you stop blaming me?! We did what we had to do! We’re protectors of the innocent!” JC tried to justify.
“No, we kill vampires! We were never supposed to take on all demons and psychos and shit! That was never in the job description!”
“Look, you know that as the Chosen Ones, we have a responsibility to protect the people when they’re in danger of something supernatural, vampire OR demon!” Lance said trying to enforce JC’s argument.
“Yeah, but we also have a responsibility as singers not to let down our fans.” Joey said.
“Don’t tell me you’re gonna bitch too Joey!” JC said.
“I’m not. I’m just stating the obvious. I know that we have to be torn between fulfilling our duty as the Chosen Ones and as NSYNC.”
“Man, things were so much better when we had our minds erased and didn’t know any of this shit existed! Even better before all this shit started!” Chris said.
“Speak for yourself!” Lance said.
“I would think you thought the same Lance, considering all the times some demon of the undead or something came after you, and almost turned you into a vampire TWICE, one of which, you were a freakin GOD!” Justin said.
“Damn it Justin! I’m beginning to get sick of your bitchin and moanin!” JC said.
“MY bitchin and moanin?! What about you?! Always preachin shit cause you’re ‘The Chosen One’! What the fuck!”
“HEY, HEY, HEY! Look, can we PLEASE just wait till we get back to the hotel to discuss this? In case you DIDN’T notice, we’re at a fan benefit in tribute to us! This is NOT the place to be arguing over stupid shit! Fine, we were late cause we had to take care of some ‘other’ business, it’s not the first time this has happened, and it’s not the last! Now just shut up, get over it, and if you still got somethin to say, wait till we get home!” Lance yelled gaining control over the situation, also giving the guys a headache.
“Hey guys….” Joey said coming into the Dream Masters quarters, causing Dominic to stop his story.
“Yeah, Joey… right?” Dom asked hiding the file he had under his ass.
“Yeah. Josh told me to come and get you guys. He wants to talk to you all.”
“Oh… ok, we’ll be right down.”
“Ok, we’re in the living room.”
As Joey left, Dom took out the folder and hid it somewhere.
“Ok, we’ll continue this after. Let’s go see what
this guy wants.” Dom said leading them downstairs.
