| That night Lynn went home. "Time for dinner!" Arianna called upstairs to Jackie who was playing with her dolls. Just as the little girl came trampling down the stairs the phone rang. "Hello?" She answered. "Arianna?" The man on the other end asked. "Yes this is she." She said sitting Jackie down at the table and placing her dinner in front of her. "It's Justin." "Oh...hi." She answered. "How are you?" She asked blurting out the first thing that came to mind. "Good you?" He asked. "I'm fine." Then there was and awkward silence. "So where are you?" Arianna asked. "I'm actually on tour." He said. "Oh, that's cool." The 20 year old woman said. "So how's Jackie?" "She's doing good." "Yeah well I was wondering maybe you and her can come down to Miami for a concert." Arianna didn't know what to say. "Well when is the concert?" She asked. "Next week." He answered. "Well, I have to check my schedule." She said. She just couldn't believe he had the nerve to call her after 4 years of tears, anger, and insecurities she just couldn't believe it. "Well I bet your really busy." Arianna said to Justin. "I'll let you go." "Well, ok." Justin said unsure, he didn't want to lose her again. "Bye." She said hanging up the phone. "Who was that mommy?" Jackie asked. "No one." She answered. Jackie, not caring went back to her macaroni and cheese. All Arianna could do was smile at Jackie. ~A Week Later~ "I wouldn't get too dressed up." JC said to Justin one day in the hotel. "I'm seeing my girlfriend for the first time in four years, I have to look nice." "All right." JC said walking out. "I hope I look okay." Justin thought looking in the mirror one last time. When the guys got to the venue, Justin spotted Arianna's car that she had for the past 4 years. "She still has that car." He thought and smiled at the memories they had shared in the car. He stepped out of the car feeling very confident. A security guard led Arianna and Jackie to the VIP section of the audience. As Arianna got Jackie situated in her seat a woman, tall, greeted Arianna. "Hi, I'm Joanna." "Arianna." Arianna said shaking the woman's hand. "Would you like me to introduce you to everyone? I bet you don't know to many people here." "Yeah." Arianna said. "Well that's Summer, Lance's girlfriend. That's Laura, Joey's girlfriend. That's Tori, Chris's girlfriend, and I'm Joanna JC's girlfriend and who's this?!" She said smiling. "This is my daughter Jackie." Arianna answered while Jackie hid behind Arianna's back. "She looks just like Justin!" Joanna exclaimed. "Yeah she does." Arianna said smiling at Jackie. Soon after the concert Joanna led Arianna and Jackie backstage. Before Arianna knew it she was face to face with Justin. "It's been a long time." Justin said. "Yeah, it has." Arianna said rather shyly. "This must be Jackie!" Justin said kneeling down to Jackie's height. "Mommy, this man looks like that guy on the cd." "That is him honey." She said to Jackie. "She listens to Justified all the time." She said as Justin smiled at Jackie. "Thanks for coming." Justin said and all Arianna could do was smile. |
