Prologue: In the beginning, Claire was the second child after her older brother Clint. Being born second, she was mostly ignored by her parents, whom seemingly and heavily believed in their first child for all of his achievements. Clint was always the thrilled one, always having something good to expect. He had no dismays, but the fact for having this younger sister to look after. He highly abused his privileges of having a sister; his authority over her was like as if she was his own property, this even sometimes lead to physical abuse.

There was absolutely nothing Claire could do to persuade her parents about her brother's abuse, since they had already favored him at birth. Their love for her died a long time ago, lost in a dark abyss. To them, she was nothing more but a mistake, something not worth caring for. Claire still had love for her family even though it was unfair on how she were treated, her life; a total inundate challenge to get where she wanted to go.

Eighteen years have past, it was time for the two siblings to leave home in their silent country estate. It was partially dim around morning when Claire sneaked out stealthily. The short; long brown hair puma came around the backyard and sat, constantly reminding herself of what she wanted to do for a long time.

She positioned herself in a foot runner's stance and slowly counted backwards. Once she reached zero, she sprints across the cornfield, heading toward an old abandoned bridge. As she inhaled the fresh country air, she turned her head over her shoulder to gaze back at the home of sorrows, watching it slowly diminish within the dark.

She came across the bridge and jumps down near the small creek embedded within the earth. The crystal clear water flickered the moon's gloomy silhouette against her eyes, causing her to leave the world around her in deep thought. She didn't even known how she really felt about herself, besides the fact of loneliness.

Claire was unable to make friends, not with her older brother around. Each time she got to know another, her indignant brother would chase them away by means of threat and fights. He literally provoked all that came close to her heart, cause he himself, was attached to her willingly.

Not knowing who she really is, she blames herself for ever being born. The temptation for suicide was too great, though her cowardly thoughts encourages her into dismissing the easy way out of the life that leads to ultimate hell in the afterlife. She was very emotional, always crying easily to the slightest sign of threat or anger hinted by another living thing. Claire is sensitive and yet willing to do what is right. The only thing to really stop her is herself in doubting.

Who am I? Why am I the chosen soul to be tortured and toyed with? Must I be wrong to have been given the precious gift, Life?

The puma slowly raises up and studies the sapphire sky. The heavenly celestial bodies staring back down at her. The cool wind managed to creep up from behind, entangling itself within her long hair. The morning was full of mysterious wonders, one could neglect and simple listen to become one with the universe. Claire was good at listening to her surroundings, that's when she heard a soft crack from a twig from behind...
