| Katina Planet size: Medium Atmosphere: Easily breathable Climate: Extreme winters and summers Moons: One Space stations/plat forms: Two space stations seven weapons platforms each. Katina started out an arid lifeless world, however after many generations of bioengineering Katina has become quite palatable, with two major oceans that ice over every winter it�s still quite a harsh climate to live in, however not nearly as bad as Titania, Katina also happens to be very rich in iron, and metals that are rare through Lylat. Naturally the Cornerian military set up bases on the planet, one over each of the huge concentrations of materials. During the more temperate times one can venture outside the colonies with little more then a jacket, though Katina is still vulnerable to solar storms where radiation levels can reach three times safe limits. During these storms no one is allowed to leave the shielded bases with out protection. Post war Katina has been quite busy churning out new ships of all sizes, it�s closeness to Corneria helped the Cornerian military in choosing that as one of it�s major production centers, there seems to be very little civilian population on Katina. |
