Another planet colonized by the Cornerian military not so much for it�s abundant resources but rather it�s closeness to Corneria on some parts of it�s orbit a fighter on auto pilot could reach the Corneria in eight weeks, this of course saves much on cost per unit by being able to save on fuel for hyper jumps. Fortuna is a model of efficiently turning out fighters of any complexity in record time, and larger ships with an equally impressive time table. There�s also an extensive military training program on Fortuna because it has every climate to some degree of severity. Fortuna is also the oldest colonized world and it�s civilian population is quite large yet still holds a military mentality to some extent, some of the best soldiers have native Fortunens and this was proven during the occupation when Fortuna mounted an effective insurgence against the occupying forces which out classed, and out numbered them at least two to one on both accounts. |
