Spring/Summer 2007

Well, the summer has had an interesting start.  In March, due to unexpected circumstances Melissa lost her job.  She has been taking the summer off so to speak spending much needed and enjoyed time with her family.  She is looking for the "right" job that will not take up the majority of her time (unlike her previous job).  She did teach a class at Chestnut Hill College for the Undergraduate Department and is waiting for her next teaching assignment.  Rob is extremely busy with his job - he has been to Key West, Florida, Maryland, New York, Virginia, New Jersey and occasionally here in Pennsylvania.  Judy is doing well also, she is working in a new position in her company.

Anastasia is growing and learning by leaps and bounds.  Her teachers at day care are always impressed by how quickly she learns and remembers things.  She keeps us all busy.  Anastasia recently enjoyed a visit from her Nana and PopPop and misses them terribly.  The visit was wonderful and she kept everyone entertained, but as always it was much too short and went by way too fast.

We are spending our summer doing summer things - the beach, the zoo, BBQ's and carnivals.  We are having a great time and enjoying our times together.

Fall/Winter 2006

The holidays are fast approaching and our thoughts are with our family members especially during this season.  It seems every time we turn around another year has come and gone.  We are thankful that our family remains bonded through the updates, newsletters, web sites, etc.  Anastasia is going to celebrate her second birthday next month and we are very excited. She is absolutely amazing - her teachers at day care call her their "little success story” the child who starting going and screamed and cried now wants nothing to do with mommy when she drops her off to see her friends.  Her vocabulary increases at a lightening rate and she is just fun to be around.  Our lives revolve around her and her schedule and we enjoy every minute of it.  We've attached a video that hopefully can be put up on the web site from Halloween of Anastasia watching herself in the video camera.  Work has been very busy and crazy for all of us and we are looking forward to the holiday break for some rest and relaxation.  We wish everyone a Happy and Safe Holiday Season and send our love to all!

Spring/Summer 2006

Happy Summer from the Foley/Groden Households!

Summer has already started off with a bang!  Anastasia is 18 months old and keep us all very busy.  She recently started day care on a part-time basis to help her get socialized with other kids her age.  It has been a trying, emotional time for mom and dad and a little hard for Anastasia but we have been getting good reports.  She has a friend who she has bonded with and after the weekend they greet each other like it is a reunion.  We are all excited to see what she learns and all the new things she will be experiencing.

Work is busy for everyone. Judy's company has gone through some restructuring and is planning to move locations in 2007 so the planning has already started.  She spends a lot of time with Anastasia much to the delight and rest of Melissa and Rob.  Rob has been very busy with orientating new members into his band and working several acoustic shows during the week.  We're lucky if he's home two nights in a row, but being in demand does have its benefits as well!  Melissa is also busy with work - there never seems to be a lack of childreen who need services.

We are all doing very well and look forward to hearing how everyone else is doing.  We'd also like to take this time to send our love to everyone and our wishes for a healthy and safe summer!

Happy Holidays From Pennsylvania

It's hard to believe that time has gone by so fast.  Just last year we were preparing for the arrival of Anastasia, no we are getting ready to celebrate her 1st birthday.  Time really does go by so fast.  We have all been very busy with our jobs and taking care of Anastasia.  We are thankful that we have a healthy child/grandchild and that we can spend the holidays together.  We are also thankful that we have a wonderful family that takes the time to share with one another their news (good and bad) in this newsletter.  Even though we cannot all be together we are in each others hearts and minds.  We hope everyone has a great holiday season and a blessed one.

With Love,

Judy, Melissa, Rob and Anastasia

Happy Spring from Pennsylvania!

It has been going very well for all of us.  Rob and Melissa are getting used to being new parents and Judy is loving being a grandmom.  Rob and Melissa have both finished school already but their graduations are this month so they are preparing for that.  Work is busy for everyone and we are just enjoying Anastasia and the joy she has brought to our lives.  We hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the spring season.  We've enclosed a picture of Anastasia, hopefully since the newsletter is web-bound it can go up!

Fall/Winter 2004

Greetings from Pennsylvania,

First of all we would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season, we are thinking of you all! There has been a lot going on since we last caught up. Rob is finished school, he is very happy to be finished his program and is deciding which direction he is going to go with his degree. He has been doing some freelance work and still working in the evenings. Melissa will be done with her Master's program in December. She has finished all her classes and is working on her final research paper. After she gets her degree she will be promoted at her job to the Director of Case Management. She will be responsible for the social workers and resident of her agency. This is the job she has been preparing herself for and the Board of Directors have offered her the position when she completes her degree. Judy is also doing very well, busy at work and busy at work! But everyone is preparing for a special gift. In January, Melissa and Rob will be welcoming their first child into the world. Anastasia Romayne Groden will be making an appearance in the New Year and we are all very excited about meeting her. So besides finishing school and working, we are all preparing for the new addition to our family. We hope all is well with everyone, and again have a happy and safe holiday season.

Melissa

Spring/Summer 2004

From Pennsylvania

Well, there hasn't been too much change since the last newsletter. Judy is busy, busy, busy at work and spending her spare time relaxing and doing arts and crafts around the house. Rob is almost finished school, he will be officially done in June, so he is very excited to start a new career. Melissa is about six months away from completing her Master's program, and she is excited as well.

So everyone in PA is hard at work and looking forward to some rest, relaxation, and nice summer weather. We hope everyone is doing well and we look forward to reading the next newsletter.
