GEORGE E. FOWLER

BELMONT — George Erwyn Fowler, 79, formerly of Belmont, died June 22, 2005, at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia. He was a native of Uniondale, Pa., son of the late George Ellison and Leona Burdick Fowler.

 

FUNERAL: 4 p.m. Saturday, Tuckaseege Baptist Church

 

INTERMENT: Hillcrest Gardens

 

VISITATION: 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the church

 

He was retired from Army & Air Force Exchange Service after 33 years of service. He gave 10 years of mission service to Jungle Aviation & Radio Service (JAARS) as Warehouse Manager in Waxhaw, NC. A member of Tuckaseege Baptist Church, he was an active church member, Deacon, choir member, member of the Primetimers Group, Head of the Brotherhood and volunteered at the Gaston Baptist Association.

 

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Autumn Ruckman and husband Fred of Mount Holly; grandchildren, Justin and Samantha Ruckman of Mount Holly; sisters, Norma Shipp of Ankeny, Iowa, Romayne Stahl and husband Dr. William Stahl of Penney Forms, Fla., and Sharon Johnson and husband Rev. Paul Johnson of Valley City, Ohio

 

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Wife Wendella Grew Fowler; parents
