Boyzone and Westlife had better watch out because there's a new boy band on the block.

The quartet - currently appearing in the Puss in Boots panto in Dublin's Olympia - have just released their debut single.

Area 4 have already been given the seal of approval by music mogul Louis Walsh, who said: "I think Area 4 are going to do big business." Their cover of the old Garth Brooks hit "It's Your Song" is set to hit the shops early next month.

The group - Mark Cleary, 17, Ian Colgan, 21, John Collins, 20 and Roly Smithers, 20 - have been together for just over a year.

Their first public appearance was as part of the cast of The Package - a theatrical show which dealt with the drugs issue and how it affects young people. Area 4 won acclaim for their strong no drugs stance.
