  • At age 17, joined Neil Young's band
    Crazy Horse. He played guitar,
    piano and sang on the platinum album
    "After the Gold Rush"
  • Formed the band Grin and released
    four albums from 1971 through 1974

  • Rumored to be under consideration as a
    replacement for Mick Taylor in the Rolling Stones

  • Began his solo career in 1975 and continues to
    release albums including "Crooked Line" in 1992
    and 2001's "Breakaway Angel"

  • Replaced guitarist Steven Van Zandt in the
    E-Street Band line-up in 1984 and despite
    Van Zandt's return, Lofgren continues
    to record and tour with the band

  • Toured with Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band in 1992
    with a live album released in 1993

  • Has played on albums by Rod Stewart,
    Danny Federici, Patti Scialfa, Bob Seger and Carl Perkins.
