Purchased Optima Yellow Top Battery For $146 From PAW in West Hills, Ca. on Sunday. Was not giving receipt and I believe the sales person pocketed the money since he walked back between one of the parts shelfs and returned with exact change.

Called 4 Wheel Performance about the Corbeau seats and was told that it takes two and a half months to get one seat or if I order them both it only takes two weeks so I decided to get both so by Jan 15, 2002 i'll pick them up and pay the balance.

picked up seat brackets for Corbeau Sport Seats and was surprised to find out the bracket holes didn't match up with any on the floor and also the angle and height seems wrong. I'll email Corbeau see what they say.

Smitty Roll Bar kit BL478 (style Y) and BL84 purchased for $313.20. Just need help getting it back to my house so probably pick it up on friday or saturday. Next thing is a battery tray for the battery and replacing gears in rear axle which were broke when i bought the truck.

Installed SmittyBilt rear roll bar BL478 (3 pieces) and was pleased with the results even though some things didn't seem right. The rear passenger side foot mounts partially over the the gas filler plate which required washers under the plate to balance the  plate instead of bolting in down at an angle which would put stress on the weld also the the plate has an extra section of angled plate that should bolt to the rear inner fender walls but this would be impossible because if you move the roll bar completely forward there is still a small gap and the front main bar sits against the  rubber seal and would prevent the top from being installed so remember to install the main bar completely back in the floor pan. The front half of the roll cage will not be installed yet until I figure out gauge placement as the bars close to the door jam will block gauges and possibly the future removal of gauge panel.

Purchased Herculiner do-it-yourself brush-on bed liner kit at Kragen Auto Parts in Arleta, Ca. for $97 with tax. This is one of the modifications that I highly recommend. I've applied it to the front floor pan and i'm very impressed with the results Dry to the touch with in 3 hours and the next day I tried picking it off with my nails and it doesn't come off. Really nice glossy black texture that looks like it was done by a pro. All you have to do is clean out the cab, wash the floor with soapy water, sand paper, solvent cleaner and then apply with the sponge roller. Buy a paint tray and rubber gloves and even possilbly a respirator but i didn't use one and i'm still breathing. Just take some breaks by walking away evey few minutes so you get some fresh air in your lungs and you shouldn't stumble much after your done. Kit comes with 1 gallon of Polyurethane coating, two sponge rollers,  handle, can opener, scuff pad and instructions. Instructions will tell you to purchase a solvent such as MEK or equivalant so becareful because that stuff will kill you just from inhaling it too long. I'm considering doing the bed of the truck as well instead of going to a shop and having them spray it on. I want quality and this product made by Herculiner is as good as it gets. Just make sure you don't cut corners.
