The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration or POEA is the government agency,
which is responsible for optimizing the benefits of the country�s overseas employment program.
"It is the policy of the State to establish, develop, promote and perfect a sound and viable tax-exempt social security system suitable to the needs of the people throughout the Philippines which shall promote social justice and provide meaningful protection to members and their families against the hazards of disability, sickness, maternity, old age, death and other contingencies resulting in loss of income or financial burden." (Section 2, Republic Act 8282).
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) is an agency in the Philippine government attached to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). The agency has a two-fold mandate: to provide welfare assistance to registered overseas workers and their dependents and to ensure the viability of the Fund.
The OFWZone is a non-profit, non-political organization under the auspices of the Philippine Embassy, Office of the Labor Attach� / OWWA in Dubai that aims to provide free education, training and facilities to our Filipino countrymen.
