AAA, or Ej, or Eh, or RN, has
been warned that it's that time of year again. As usual, he has chosen
to ignore me. Since last year, he has lost the "student" part of "poor
starving student," although he is looking into reacquiring it. Must
take after one of his sisters... ;) But at least he has a somewhat
permanent home a reasonable distance from his former permanent
home.
Fun items:- CDs. On second thought, it's better to go
for gift certificates to music stores (but not iTunes)
- DVDs of TV shows,
such as Mr. Show, South Park, and Party of Five (yes
folks, he did specify that last one, though he wasn't sure he wanted to
share it with the world)
- DVD's of movies: Gangs of
New
York; extended editions of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (I'd like
that one myself) and/or The
Return of the King; Batman Begins; Kill Bill; Robert Rodrigues
Masterpieces (but not his kid movies)
- jewellery - the really
expensive stuff, with diamonds and rubies and coloured beads... oops,
sorry, that's a leftover from someone else's list :D
- pictures of family, etc.,
for a
rogues' gallery!
Practical items, or reasonable facsimile of practical:- a hat of my own, so I don't have to wear
my sisters'
- a fully-insured ride, in
working condition (some people might consider that an "impractical
item," but those people haven't seen the BAM)
- indoor trainer, which allows
mountain bikes to be used as stationary bikes
- vocal lessons, or cash
equivalent to pay for said lessons
- music recording program or
animation computer program
- electric-acoustic guitar
(for those inevitable open-mic nights down the road)
- PA system, powerful enough
that it won't be drowned out by 100 W guitar/bass amps
Completely
impractical items... for those who have
won the lottery or who have special powers! - a
dishwasher (and if said dishwasher was in the form of an attractive
young lady who enjoyed washing the dishes in a bikini- so much the
better) (editor's note: since I've had 'boyfriend' on my list since the
beginning, I'll have to allow him his little fantasies ;)
- the resolve/ focus to finish (the lyrics for) my
Enantiodromia
concept album / Grunge-revival opera
- the resolve and focus to finish the any (preferably
all) of "Egon
Bottle", "the Adventures of Jerkulon and Romulous" and (especially) "We
Die Young"
- control of the fourth dimension
- peace, love, and understanding for all my family,
friends, fans, and miscellaneous associates
