Softball 2008
As it turned out, I was not back in 2007.  The Island Softball League plays it games on Sunday, at the same time that my daughter had her soccer practice and scrimmage game with the West Islip Soccer Club.  Guess who won out?
My employer in 2007 only had a team in the Boston office, so that ruled out playing for my employer.  However, in December of that year I was no longer there and found a new job a few days later. This company has a team, and I signed up at the first opportunity.
My new team is called the Bees, and we generally play in Central Parks North Meadow.  A few games are played at DeWitt Clinton Park, located at 11th Avenue and 53rd Street.  After the games we generally go to a pub for some beer and goodies.
As with the warriors, I wear number 43, as a tribute to Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, the namesakes of this domain.
Basic philosophy
Another group of Bees, but close enough
