We use Pure Belgian Chocolate.This chocolate is specifically designed to work with a Chocolate Fountain, since it has a very high content of Cocoa Butter, which enables it to flow smoothly.
Normal grocery chocolate can not be used in a Chocolate Fountian, unless gallons of vegetable oil is added to it, which spoils the tast.
2.What are Dipping Items?
Dipping Items are bite-sized pieces of food that can be dipped into the flow of Chocolate in our Chocolate Fountain. They are usually skewered to ensure that dirty hands do not contaminate the Belgian Chocolate.
3.What kind of Dipping items are NOT recommended to use with a Chocolate Fountain?
Any item that is crumbly will tend to compromise the smooth velvety flow of the Chocolate. Also, items which are water saturated such as watermelon will cause the Chocolate to become crumbly.
4.Can I supply my own Dipping Items or do I have to purchase these from Fountain Fantasy?
Or course you can supply your own dipping items! If you are on a tight budget this would come in handy!However, this would mean that you would also have to supply enough napkins as well as disposable plates . We would still provise you with all our serving platters and beautiful display peices.
If you choose to provide your own Dipping Items please check with us first, to ensure that the items you are providing will be suitable for use in our Fountains.
5. How long can the Chocolate Fountain run for?
The length of service time differs in each package. Our smallest packages give you 90 minutes of service. However, if you choose a larger package or purchase extra chocolate you can have the fountains running all night!
6.Will there be an attendant at the Dessert Table?
All our packages include 2 table attendants which will ensure that your table is kept tidy and that your dipping items are refreshed if needed!
7.Who is responsible for Set-up, Tear-down, and Clean-up of the Fountain?
Fortunately, Fountain Fantasy will do all the work for you! Attendants will arrive at your loaction approximately 1 hour before your event in order to set up fountains , and clean them up after your contracted time is up. If you wish to extend your time of service, this will be possible.
8.What do I need to provide?
You will need to provide a sturdy table which is in close proximity to an electrical outlet.
9.What is required to book a Chocolate Fountain?
For packages more than 1000.00, a 50% non-refundable downpayment is needed to book your date. The balance is paid out two weeks before your event.
For packages less than 1000.00, the entire amount has to be paid out in order to book your date.
10.When should I book my Fountain?
Although the Chocolate Fountain is sometimes available on short notice- we do recommend that you book your Fountains as soon as you decide on having it at your event. Unless you have paid a deposit to Fountain Fantasy, we are not responsible for keeping your date open for you.
