| Get in the Summer spirit and make your way to the only indoor/outdoor theatre this side of anywhere! Ever wanted to enjoy a play in the park while you munched, but prefer to avoid the little inconveniences of insects, grass stains, and glare? Well, this is the show for you! The Found turns parkland for what may be its most bird-brained offering yet. As you enjoy feasting and a festive bucolic atmosphere (the food is optional and you must bring your own -- the grass and trees are on us!), the actors in this ill-fated, surprise production struggle with a snow-balling series of overwhelming disasters, on-stage and off. The wrong costumes were delivered, the lead actor and sign language interpreter are lost on the freeway somewhere, the female lead is cold-cocked by a piece of falling scenery, the director is re-thinking the play concept in mid-performance, and the music and sound effects tape is missing and the audio substitutions are wildly inappropriate. And that’s the good news! Part mayhem, part mutiny, and pure magic, this is your ticket to live, “grass roots” performance at its most marvelously preposterous. |
