Keeping Your Club Active

This is a very common question. So how do we get and keep our clubs active?

1. Be active yourself.

2. Have a daily feature; question of the day, joke of the day, trivia of the day.....

3. Have a contest. Prizes can be anything from bragging rights to a graphic the winner can display on their webpage to a gift certificate....

4. Have an alternate ID that always has an opposite opinion to you. Get into discussions with yourself. (Be careful with this one.... :) )

5. Occasionally (generally, not more than once a week) send out emails to your members. Some clubs have a weekly or monthly newsletter to keep members informed.

6. Send out a monthly or weekly newsletter. This can be an email or a link to a webpage where you've set up a newsletter. If only some members want to receive this, you can make a mailing list with Yahoo Groups (set up an Announcement Only Group), Onelist, Listbot or similiar service.
