Dale Foster Oscar Dale Foster was born on August 29. 1926 in Windfield Missouri, the son of Charles William and Kathryn L. Briscoe Foster. He passed away Saturday, June 16, 2001, at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He had reached the age of 74 years, 9 months, and 18 days. Dale was united in marriage on June 8, 1943 in St. Charles, Missouri, to Anna Bell Morris. He was a 1944 graduate of Windfield High School in Windfield. He served his country in the United States Army from December 7, 1944 until October 26, 1946. Dale then enrolled at Washington University in St. Louis where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1951. Dale was an independent insurance agent with Star Farm Insurance for 42 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the VFW Post in Troy, Missouri and the Washington University Alumni Association. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Kathryn Foster; and one son, Stephen Boyd Foster, who died in 1991. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Anna Bell Foster of Ferguson; three sons: Bob Foster and his wife, Marjorie, of Austin, Texas, Drew Foster of St. Louis, and Todd Foster also of St. Louis; and three grandchildren: Michelle, Laura, and Bobby. He also leaves two brothers: Tom Foster and his wife, Joanne, of Kansas City, Missouri, and David Wayne Foster of Grandview, Missouri; two sisters: Eva Lee Olson and her husband, Glen, of Walnut Creek, California, and Betty May Wirt and her husband, Tom, of Springfield, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dale will be greatly missed by his family and a host of friends. |
