Directions to Pontotoc High School

The trip via Houston is a little faster and saves gas! I generally go that way, but if you prefer hastle free driving or want to go shopping, the Tupelo route is good.

Via Tupelo - 4 lane most of the way ( ~ 84 miles)

You need to get to the soccer complex in Tupelo and continue west out of Tupelo on Main street (this is the road that runs by the soccer complex). You may want to take the Cliff Gookin Blvd route and turn onto Main, or leave Starkville on US 82E, take US 45-alt north toward Tupelo. Take the Main St. exit and head west. Stay on Main and you'll drive under the Natchez trace and past the soccer complex. The road becomes Hwy 278 (MS-6) and takes you to Pontotoc.

Take the Hwy 9 exit from 278 and follow it to a set of lights. Turn left onto Main St. anbd head to downtown Pontotoc. Immediately before the city square, you'll come to a four-way stop. Turn right onto W. Reynold's street and go a short distance down the hill to a parking lot on the right hand side. The (small) soccer field is seen at the bottom of the hill and access is at the back of the parking lot.

Via Houston - 2 lane a large fraction of the way ( ~ 70 miles)

Leave Starkville on US 82W and drive 14 miles toward Maben. Take the Maben-Starkville Rd exit (The first Maben exit; MS-763) and drive into Maben. The road ends at a 4-way stop. Turn right onto MS-15N and drive to Pontotoc (passing by Mantee and Houston).

On the outskirts of Pontotoc, MS-15 comes to a 4-way stop. Go straight across the intersection onto Main Street/MS-41 (MS 15 continues on the left). Drive to downtown Pontotoc (~2 miles) on Main St. After passing the city square, you'll come to a four-way stop. Turn left onto W. Reynolds and go a short distance down the hill to a parking lot on the right hand side. The (small) soccer field is seen at the bottom of the hill and access is at the back of the parking lot.
