ABOUT THIS SITE

Bob and I meet one Summer at Big Brook and have been collecting together ever since. The concept for this website came about after a number of conversations about trying to ID our finds. There are a number of excellent web sites on  fossils and sharks’ teeth from the state of NJ, but I always found myself bouncing between the various sites trying to ID a tooth. Personally I like to use pictures to ID my finds, the more the better… thus the concept.

  Our goal is a pictorial guide to identification, I’ll be keeping the verbiage down to a minimum and initially skipping over areas such as the geology of the region so I can concentrate on as many high quality images as possible.
