May 30: The Real Memorial Day

It's 3900 caches on May 1,2005. Heh.

Our neighbors have a GPSr! They haven't registered online yet, but they've begun to look for caches and they're having fun.

Anna Lee died. (This is no surprise, but still, sniff). She was The only real Lila. Apparently they (ABC) let her go. Twits.

The Manteca water park going to close. I remember the one time I went there, on the school trip with Roni's 8th grade class. One of her classmates didn't listen when he was told not to take his pass with him on the slide, and came up with a sodden mess when he finished one slide. I had to help him get a replacement, and I've finally let him forget it, since he's turning into a pillar of the parish!

In other words, don't make the mistake of assuming that Bush's poll numbers on Iraq have fallen because people want him to be more multilateralist and accommodating. On my anecdotal evidence, they want him to be more robust and incendiary.
---Mark Steyn.
Yep.
He also says:
Such a world would be a more dangerous place, but not necessarily for Americans. It is Europe that's closer and more vulnerable to terrorists, dysfunctional states and other enemies. That is why I'm a relatively relaxed hawk. The US may be forced to suffer the perception of defeat, but it is Europe that will live with the consequences. Be careful what you wish for.
