No caching today, so I went to see Calendar Girls. There were a surprising number of guys at the show. We all really enjoyed it, and there was even applause at the end. It was fun to see people I know from public television and Brit movies in a different type of movie. (Though I didn't recognize Mrs. Weasley, Julie Walters!) I definitely want the DVD. It'd make a nice double feature with Full Monty!

On the television, I got to see my Apprentice tape. I'm glad Sam is gone, he's all hat and no cattle. The black woman decided to lecture her co-team workers about being too sensitive. "Sensitive?" When she says pot and kettle is a racist comment??

The CASA dinner was tonight. It was nice. We had a few pieces of crab anyway. Our servers were kids from the McClatchy High African-American Club, who wore shirts that said
GetHigherEducationTodayTomorrowOvercome.
Not bad. I was awarded with a polo shirt with the new logo. It's really nice.

Andrew Sullivan says he doesn't like Jennings either. He says Clark is toast. (Good. I can't stand the royal "we" and I see nothing in Clark but raw ambition.) I also don't like the "I don't care what they say, I think John Kerry is a patriot" and the like comment about Bush as a deserter type of character assassination. "Caesar" is too flattering, maybe "Nero" for him.
