Bowling went pretty well for me, 105, 161, 127, and pretty poorly for the other two. One codger hurt his shoulder ten days ago and hasn't been bowling with us. I talked to the cancer codger about his veteran experiences (with Rich helpfully asking in the background "Revolutionary or Civil?") He was at Leyte and Okinawa, infantry. He says the ships were like a carpet on the ocean and there were so many airplanes the sky was dark. That's what my dad was doing, flying, so we got to chat awhile about that. I also talked to the little lady who flirts with him. She was all dolled up for the day, even to her red-white-and-blue earrings.
Both Rich and Earl are hanging in at 151 average (they both lost another pin today) while I'm up to 126! Last year I could only dream of such an average and now I'm gazing at the 130s and think the 140s are possible. We won three (the series by 5 pins) so we may go up from 9th place.
I had lost a pound last week, but it's back. I did a little of the history reading, and threw out more than 7 magazines, and did some cleanup in the back and some paper sorting. All the projects are still getting ahead of me, but at a slower rate.
Rich went down to give blood and then to Sharing God's Bounty. I thought about a movie, thought about running errands, but didn't think much of it. I mailed the Court the "original" forms. I tried Sam's lawyer again. I keep dreaming about Sam and family, but I'll never get to see them unless the lawyer returns my calls.
