I plan to defrost the freezer one of these days Real Soon Now, so we're in "spenddown" mode. I was checking it out and taking bread out to pitch (very old, remarkably freezer burnt) and suddenly Crombie was in the freezer too! She'd wanted me to pet her and jumped up to be in reach. Casey and I went to the library, and I read lots and lots of books. I was eager to get home, though, for our own trick-or-treaters. As it was, I was still too late for our neighbor, Harry Potter, so I went next door to ask him to come over when he was finished.

There was a belly dancer, a vampire, a ghost with his little sibling, a baby bunny asleep in a stroller. Then there was a group of young teens, one or two with the same ghost mask, and a couple of skeletons, and a chubby one who hadn't bothered to put on a costume, but boy his hand was sure out! We had Spiderman, a soldier, a wizard and Dracula. Then Rich handled the last group while I was getting most of the green out of my hair. They were three cats and Dracula. "Who are you?" "Timmy." "Oh, I thought you were Dracula." "No."
