| .... such as cooking and cleaning. It was a very social holiday. During the day it was all about fun and relaxing either by sailing in one of the viking longboats on reading/dozing on the beach and the evening was about sitting around the campfire chatting, drinking beer and the like!!. The island of Tun i very small. People come on days trips to walk around. There is a path all the way around. There are no cars. The principle form of transport was a traxa (tractor used to carry people and cargo from the harbor!! David loved it the whole time he was there as he was free to come and go a he wanted and we could let him in the knowledge that it was safe to do so. Liva is still a little bit too young to appreciate it but was very content sleeping on a lilo!! TOILET DRAMA!! For the week however going to the toilet was a bit of a drama. The toilet comprised a trench dug in the ground in the woods with a sheet hung around. There was nothing to stop people from walking in on you when you were busy!! Luckily there was a public toilet in the local village 1 km away! |

| British Airways come in with a last minute save!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| After some to and fro-ing of correspondence between John and British Airways a complete success was achieved. The first official response from British Airways was 2 pages long, the first page of which was pure (and rather a waste of time) apology. In the last paragraph though they offered a comlementary return flight with BA to anywhere in Europe! In this reponse though there was nothing about the broken pram or the late arrival of the luggage. A second response was urgently requested from BA who replied apologetically again and sent 35 pounds worth of duty free vouchers and a refund for the broken pram!! The moral of the story "If you have a good reason to complain DO IT (even though a few weeks later all may be forgiven and forgotten!) and DON'T take the first offer". Even now there was some discussion at Mosegård Park as to whether legally I was entitled to more - ONE MUSTN'T BE GREEDY eh?? If you need contact addresses for BA or advice on comlaining letters drop us a line!! |
