- the departure gate would not let us get on the plane until everything was confirmed. They dilly dallied and the gate closed before things were confirmed. A splendid night in a Heathrow Airport was had!
The next morning we got the first flight to Newcastle after a policeman interrogated me as to if david was my son and I was not kidnapping him.
The luggage of course was nowhere to be seen and David's push chair arrived the evening before we were to fly back to Copenhagen AND it was broken!!!
Airport Caper!!
March was a pretty quiet month. The beginning saw Myself and David take a trip to England. The flights were booked with BA, or should I say Brymon Airways who are a subsidiary of BA, from Copenhagen direct to Newcastle. The flight was cancelled, and re-routed through Amsterdam. The flight to Amsterdam was delayed so the connection to Newcastle was now impossible. We were therefore re-routed through London. I say we because there were about 12 other passengers in the same situation. However, when we got to the departure gate for the Flight to London there was only room enough for 2 passengers!! Can you beleive it. We were (or so I thought) lucky enough to get on the flight and arrive in London with a connection to Newcastle. The ladies at the
... a very pleasant weekend was had all the same. It was great to see you Piers. We are looking forward to showing you a bit more of Denmark in the future.
...... oh yes and by the way the flight back to Copenhagen was also cancelled HIP HIP HURRAY for Bristish Airways!!!
