4th Infantry and CMTC
Four companies of the 4th Infantry were  stationed at Fort Missoula from 1922-1941.  Duties while at the fort included supervising the Civilians Military Training Camp or CMTC and  during the Great Depression help supervise the CCC in the Fort Missoula District.  An extensive listing of the exploits of the 4th Infantry is located at http://www.halcyon.com/strandjr/4thUS_Inf/ which is a  re-enactors page.
