| Bethesda (forthisday) John 5: 1-9 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Yahshua went up to Jerusalem. Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Yahshua saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir; I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Yahshua saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked. Verse 4 has amazed me: "For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had." Questions to ponder on: Why would an angel trouble the water? The word trouble is translated "trasso" which goes back to fear, agitated, stirred up. Now why would anyone want to step into a pool of agitation? Record shows that the first one stepping into the pool would be made whole. Question: Is there a record of those who stepped into the "trasso" water of their wholeness? Bethesda is known as "House of Mercy" flowing waters. Phillipians 2:1-5 "Bowels of mercy let nothing be done through strife or vainglory but in lowliness of mind let others esteem others better than themselves" Why is it in John 5:7 "I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is disturbed "trasso" but while I am moving someone else is in the pool before me" Again, "trasso" John 14:1 "Set your trouble "trasso" hearts at rest. John 14:27 "peace is His (Yahshua) parting gifts set your trouble trasso hearts at rest and banish all your fears" This man was distracted from the truth, focusing on becoming whole having man carry him into the pool of what "trasso" waters to become whole? John 5:6-9 clearly shows how this man totally trusted The Man Yahshua, banishing all fears rose up and walks at His word. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: Why was Salvation (Yahshua) sent? Being the atonement for our sins yes and another key is...not leaving us comfortless. What is the comfort? "Knowing within that you have HIM within." "It's about faith, it's about trust" "Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen" "Every perfect gift is from above and comes down from DADDY of lights, with no deceit, betrayal and exposes the cover of the mask!"
