SNARES: Keep it clean. Watch your tempo, you're the glue that holds the
entire line together. Watch out for your stick heights and how
clean you're play9ing. Its better to play quieter than it is to
play too loud. Also, don't worry about traditional grip. We
may or may not use it. Just play with whatever you're more
comfortable with. The most important thing I'm going to be
watching out for (besides cleanliness) is TECHNIQUE. Get it down,
if u need extra help don't be afraid to call me.

-=TENORS=-
RUDIMENTS:
single stroke four (off right & left, 4beats) (126bpm)
single stroke seven (8 beats, off right & left) (120bpm)
ROLLS:
multiple bounce roll (4 beats, 1 beat per, off right & left) (126bpm)
five stroke (4 beats, off right & left) (126bpm)
six stroke (4 beats, off right & left) (114bpm)
seven stroke roll (4 beats, off right & left) (114bpm)
nine stroke roll (8 beats, off right & left) (110bpm)
seventenn stroke roll (4 times, off right & left) (110bpm)
DIDDLES:
paradiddle (8 beats, off right & left) (136bpm)
FLAMS:
Flam (4 beats, off right & left) (120bpm)
Flam accent (played like 3s, 4 beats, off right * left) (110bpm)
Flam tap (played like 16ths, 4 beats, off right & left) (108bpm)
OTHERS:
"Accent Pyramid" on one drum, do repeat & 2nd ending, 126bpm
"Triplet Diddle" ON ONE DRUM, 132bpm
  "Spyder" measures 9-16, 126bpm
TENORS: learn to do crossovers, and don't look at your drums. Tenor
lines are hard to get clean because of a lot of things, and I
don't have to march 3 tenors, or even 2. I can be fine with 1,
so you have to prove that you can keep the tenor line clean.
More importantly, you have to know when it's not clean, because
drumming is 3/4ths mentality, and the rest is all bs.

-=BASS=-
RUDIMENTS:
single stroke four (off right & left, 4 beats) (126bpm)
multiple bounce roll (off right & left, 4 beats, 1 per) (136bpm)
five stroke roll (off right & left, 4 beats) (126bpm)
single paradiddle (off right & left, 8 beats) (110bpm)
flam (off right and left, 4 beats) (126bpm)
flam accent (like 3s, off right and left, 8 beats) (132bpm)

OTHERS:
"Accent Pyramid" on one drum, do repeat & 2nd ending, 126bpm
"Triplet Diddle" on ONE DRUM, 120bpm
  "Spyder" measures 3-8, 126bpm
BASS: You most likely won't be doing manty splits, but be prepared to do
some. Also, be aware of your tempo and always ALWAYS mark time.
I'm telling you right now that marking time is going to be a big
       deael for this.

-=CYMBALS=-
"Hoops Groove" entire thing, be able to play by self, 120bpm
ALSO BE ABLE TO:
*hold cymbals for 20minutes straight, in -set- position
*play slides, horizontal push crashes, hinges
CYMBALS: if you're auditioning for cymbals, I'm going to say right now
that plates are the most physically demanding of all the instruments
you can play on a drumline. I'm not going to expect you to have
perfect technique when you start, but I will expect you to have
the sheer muscle mass to play them. we don't have to march
cymbals, but it's a great opportunity.
