The Temporay Battalion for the 2002 Fortescue event was dubbed the Provisional Missouri Nebraska Battalion.  The Battalion was commanded by Major James E. Crofutt and was made up of the following units.
1st Company (1st Nebraska)
2nd Company (7th and 30th MO. Vols.)
3rd Company (1st MO. Engineers -Co. A)
Colorguard (18th Missouri)

Fortescue MO. October 2002
The 7th and 30th Missouri Vols. engage Confederate Skirmishers who have been deployed to probe the union line.  The Rebs were quickly checked and there main attack also ended in utter failure. FAJ AN BEALAC!!!
