Tuesday 11:00 AM Challenge for the day and Scavenger hunt ongoing

Wednesday 8:00 AM Community Breakfast at community centre

Thursday Forteau Bay Challenge and Scavenger Hunt Finale 
5:00 PM BBQ at L�Anse Amour Beach (sponsored by the Forteau Lions) 
6:30 PM Ghost Walk at Point Amour
8:00 PM Closing Ceremonies at the Big Stage/Wharf 
Followed by refreshments, bonfire and fireworks

As part of our Come Home Year festivities, we will be having our
traditional �Christmas Eve Santa Claus� at the Community Center
on Tuesday, August 08, 2006.

In keeping with tradition, Santa will bring a gift to all children. The
organizing committee is encouraging all parents to bring a gift for
their children and place it under the tree.

Hello everyone. I just setup a free message forum for us where we can 
post longer messages and hopefully share and spead the excitement 
of our upcoming event. Click on the link posted on this page to get there
and start up a chat. You can post messages as a guest, be sure and

Hello all,

I realise there hasn't been any new updates on here in quite some time. 
Well that's mostly cause I haven't recieved anything from the committee to 
post. But to keep the site fresh so people can have a reason to keep 
visiting, please send us more photos to post. As I said before, they can be 
pics of you and your family or friends, pics from back home, or from where 
ever you are now. Send 'em in! You can email them to the committee 
address or directly to me at rhancock@tracerindustries.com. Hope to hear
from you soon.

An organizing committee has been set-up to host Come Home Year celebrations
from August 4-10, 2006. The fun-filled event will involve current and former
residents of Forteau, Buckle's Point, English Point and L'Anse Amour.
There will be activities for all ages including: Heritage Day, Dances, 
A Barbecue on the Wharf, An Old Fashion Time, Bonfire at L'Anse Amour Beach,
Traditional Home Cooking and much more... Invitations are in the process of
being sent to all current and former residents of Forteau Bay.

Upcoming Events:
We want your Recipes: All residents are being asked to submit up to three 
recipes including their name to the organizing committee for an upcoming
commemorative booklet.

Fundraisers: 
The organizing committee is sponsoring a breakfast on Saturday April 16th
at the John A Dumaresque Town Hall in Forteau beginning at 7:00 a.m. 
All are welcome to attend.

April 15th 2005

The organizing committee are looking for old pictures and stories from 
residents of the Forteau Bay area to go into a memory album/book
that they are planning. Please submit any material to forteaubay06@yahoo.com.

The Come Home Year committee would also like to apologise for a mistake on
the invitations that went out. There was no mention of bringing along
family members on the ivitations. All new family members are most 
certianly encouraged to join in the festivies and we look forward to
meeting all of you! Sorry for any confusion. :)
