Inhabitants of the Fort
Melinda Messenger: Melinda is the presenter of the
show, and guides the team around the Fort giving advice (and sympathy) when needed!

Boyard, Master of the Fort: Boyard is the one with
all the control. He sets all the challenges and it's his gold which the team is trying to win. He
enjoys watching the team suffer, but Melinda keeps him in his place.

The Professor: the Professor asks the riddles up in
his Watch Tower. He used to be the Master of the Fort, but now he stays up in his tower where he
watches the challenges alongside the seagulls.

Jacque: the little man who guides Melinda and the
team from challenge to challenge, opens the doors, and locks people in when their time is up.

Jules: another little man, Jules leads contestants
up to the Professor in the Watch Tower. Both guides are very pushy!

Dwarf Number 3: in series four Jules is no where to
be seen! His role has been filled by a mystery dwarf, however at the moment he remains nameless.
More detail will be added when/if we get it!

La Boule: La Boule is the massive French-man who
strikes the gong and leads prisoners to the cages, which he guards whilst sitting in the sun.

Mud-Wrestling Woman: series one and two sport
different Mud-Wrestling women, however both have the same objective: preventing their opponents
from gaining their keys. The newer one seems to be much more effective in her role, as she is more
vicious (and butch!?). Not featuring in series three, the second mud-wrestler has returned in series
four.

The Strongman: the Strongman is another obstacle to
be overcome in order to gain a key. He's kind of the male equivalent of the Mud-Wrestling Woman.
From series three he wears a mask covering his entire head.

Jaba, the Pirate: popular in foreign equivalents,
Jaba only lasted the first series in the U.K. He was involved in the Buzz Off! and The Searching
Head games, but his roles were minor and he was just annoying! In the French show he is a lot
more involved.

The Tiger Master: the tiger master guarded the
tigers of the Treasure Room in the first series.

Monique: she replaced the Tiger Master in series two.

Arianne: the naked sorceress who sits at the end of
the dark labyrinth.
