WHY "FULL SERVICE BROKERS" AREN'T


1. Although you hired the broker, the broker is really working for the BUYER. The reasoning is clear: If the broker gets a good deal for the SELLER -- which means a bad deal for YOU -- then when that new homeowner decides to move, the chances are good that he will hire the same broker.

2. Brokers make their money on volume, not on the best price for each house. The difference between 6% commissions on a $300,000 sale and a $250,000 sale is $3000. Meanwhile the broker is spending a lot of time trying to sell your house. Brokers will list your house for anything that you want, but soon you'll hear:
