FMR RACE REPORT - ANCIENT BURTORRAN GRAND PRIX
*Weather Report
Welcome to the second round of The Tableland FMR Championship. Ancient Burtorr is experiencing some slightly poor weather with it being unusually cold, 16 Cs, and slightly overcast. Tonight's race had to be run late due to the harshness of the daytime weather in Ancient Burtorr. 
PERFECT SETUP: DAT with an agressive driver
WORST SETUP: SBC with a defensive driver
Two teams, Team Ferg who look to put in back to back wins, and the Dune Surfing Motor Company, looking to go one better than in Tamamara, have the perfect setup and no one runs the crap one. Good luck to all teams in the race.

*The Race
In a fairly steady, albeit slow, race, Ferga Burga became the first FMR driver to ever score successive podiums in the international arena. He managed to snatch second place, building on last week's first with a simply superb drive. Of course, coming second meant there was somebody better. This driver was Jack Michaelson of the Island Racing Settlement who, with Kathleen Johnson, completed 1-3 podium finish, sandwiching the Fergustani driver. The top two drivers were clearly in a class of their own. It seemed that Ferga Burga may even score his second win straight but a powerful charge from Michaelson ending any hopes of back-to-back victories.

The rest of the grand prix "competitors" filtered across the line with an unusual lack of pace, mostly attributed to drivers exercising caution on the sandy Ancient Burtorran track. The home teams were fairly strong with DSMC's Bazza finishing a respectable and hard fought fourth and ASD's Ibn the Small crossing the line shortly after him. Fortunately for all concerned, there were no incidents, unlike last week's GP which was marred by French Maid and Marsie colliding. There was no animosity between the two drivers, butting heads (comparable to shaking hands in human terms) before the race. The race really came down to setup with the first four drivers favouring downforce and top speed. The rest of the race was decided by driver skill as they somewhat competitively fought for loser line honours. Marsie and GN Racing's Great Nathan were the closest two drivers, finishing mere fractions of a second apart. Otherwise, the race was fairly tame.

7. Punh Marmington (Liam & Co Racing)

So that's another race done and dusted. Team Ferg and the Island Racing Settlement are sharing first place in the constructors standings and Ferga Burga is six points clear of Jack Michaelson in the drivers standings. Three teams are still yet to score points after the Nomattian Knights, Liamist Racing and ZoomTamamara all failed to sparkle today.
