5. James Danbrook (see James) was born in Darsham, Suffolk, England in 1825. He emigrated to Canada in 1841 with his family. He and his brother George walked from north of Toronto (Aurora) to Blandford Twp., Oxford County in 1851 with an axe over his shoulder and took up land on the south side of the 4th Concession Road. They built log houses side by side.

Eliza Broom (c. 1830 - 1918)

 

James married Eliza Broom from York County north of Toronto on October 24, 1853. James died in 1905, Eliza in 1918 in Woodstock.

James and Eliza had the following children:

+21 i. Harriet Danbrook, born in 1854, died in infancy.

+22 ii. William Danbrook, born in 1856, died in infancy.

+23 iii. George Frederick Danbrook, born July 20, 1857

+24 iv. Sara Ann (Nan) Danbrook, born in 1859

+25 v. Emily Danbrook, born in 1861

+26 vi. Louisa Danbrook, born in 1863

+27 vii. Edith Danbrook, born in 1866

+28 vii. James Danbrook, born in 1869

+29 ix. Henry (Harry) Danbrook, born in 1871

+30 x. Amelia (Mill) Danbrook, born in 1873

+31 xi. Naomi Jane (Jen) Danbrook, born in 1875 and died in 1899.

Louisa did not marry but took courses in cooking, and lived and worked in Woodstock.

James married Grace Miller and they lived on the home farm, then on a farm on the 3rd Concession of Blandford Twp. They retired to Innerkip. They had no family.

Henry married Eliza (Lyle) Keen of Innerkip. They lived in that area and later moved to the 3rd Concession of East Oxford Twp. They had no surviving children.

Amelia moved to Woodstock with her mother in 1910 and they lived on Buller Street. She took courses in cooking and sewing. She never married.

Naomi Jane was a school teacher in Innerkip. She died while teaching there at 24 years of age.
