1. Early Spring - You will receive a fertilizer that is suited for the early months of the year. Also included is a combination of a pre-emergence within the fertilizer. This is recommended mainly for the control of crab grass but will also control a wide variety of weeds. The use of pre-emergence is not recommended if the lawn is going to be overseeded in the spring. Please inform us of any plans of spring reseeding.
2. Mid - Late Spring - You will receive a fertilizer that is suited for the spring months of the year. In addition to the fertilizer you will receive a complete application of a broadleaf weed spray and a spreader sticker. The broadleaf weed spray will control many broadleaf weeds in your lawn including dandelion, clover, plantain, ground ivy just to name a few. The spreader sticker will help the product stick to the plant and spread out over the leaves for maximum penetration and keep the product on the plant and not in the soil, and it will also make the spray rain fast within hours.
3. Summer - You will receive a fertilizer that is suited for the summer months of the year. This will be a nitrogen rich fertilizer that contains a slow release agent so that only part of the fertilizer is released now &  the other part is released about 3 weeks later. This will provide a longer greening period and prevent growth spikes in the lawn.
4. Early Fall - You will receive a fertilizer that is much like the summer application. Also we will have a tank of broadleaf weed spray with us and we will go over the lawn and spray as necessary to keep the broadleaf weeds under control.
5. Late Fall - You will receive a fertilizer that is suited for the fall & winter months of the year. This is a high nitrogen fertilizer to build up the nitrogen levels in the soil to overwinter your lawn. This application will green up your lawn for the winter and keep the nitrogen level up for the winter root growth needed to survive the winter months. Even though the grass leaves are not growing in the winter the roots will continue to grow. This application will also provide the lawn with the nitrogen needed in the spring for a quick green up and a healthy start for the new season.
During one of the applications 2,3 or 4 your lawn will receive an iron treatment for micronutrient feeding.
We can custom treat your lawn if you would like to change the way our programs are set up. Our programs are made to give your lawn the maximum benefits of a healthy lawn and still be environmentally friendly.
