Ornamental Tree and Shrub Treatments
The tree and shrub program is designed to help control insects that attack your valuable ornamentals and also provide fertilization of these plants. The program below features the basic maintenance need to protect your plants.
While it is not possible to control every insect all the time, we will inspect and spray as need to protect your ornamentals from the type of insect currently inhabiting the plant. Keep in mind that not all plants will need to be sprayed each visit. Some insects for certain plants only attack at certain times, while other insects attack other plants at other times. Spraying all the plants at each visit will kill the beneficial insects needed to produce healthy trees and shrubs. Also it will eliminate the GOOD insects that help control the BAD pest. Without these GOOD insects, the BAD insects would run out of control even with spraying insecticides.
We can not guarantee that you will never loose a plant to environmental conditions, poor planting practices, vandelism, or some rare insect outbreak, but we will guarantee that if you have a pest outbreak between or after we have treated we will retreat for free if you are on a full program.
This program is designed to reduce the risk of damage and enhance the growth of your ornamental trees and shrubs. We attempt to protect the environment by utilizing an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach. IPM targets pest which present a risk to certain plant material, thus avoiding unnecessary use of products in your landscape.

Add on tree and shrub treatments
Tree and shrub disease management
Like turf diseases, tree and shrub diseases are treated on an as needed basis. This is not included in the program and would be billed as a seperate charge.
Winter anti-desiccant spraying
This is a 2 step treatment spraying the evergreen trees and shrubs. Evergreens can become dehydrated during the winter months due to the inability to get water from the soil and winter winds blowing and causing winter burn which is the loss of moisture in the leaf area. This causes the leaves to become discolored and unsightly thru the winter. The winter anti-desiccant spray will coat the leaf surface and prevent moisture loss thru the leaves. This is sprayed at the onset of winter and again in the middle of winter as weather permitts.
