The formation of our band began in 2000. There were several bands in Lucenec at that time, for example D.E.S., rap duo REST and a hard core formation SCREAMING BUTTERFLY (in the process of disintegration).

November of that year marked the beginning of a new formation, DORT, with these members: Pety (ex D.E.S.) – vocals, Rolo (ex D.E.S.) – bass, Ivan (ex SCREAMING BUTTERFLY) – guitar, Sano - (ex SCREAMING BUTTERFLY) – drums and Peto – 2nd guitar.

Approximately at that time Ivan met with Lucky and Jerry (REST) i a local tea-house and made a proposal for collaboration in a project called RAP-HC. They agreed and took with themselves Sano and Rolo. After a long consideration they agreed on the original name REST. They performed as a group of two bands with different styles (REST and DORT) for the next 2 months, in which we had several successful concerts in different clubs.

In the beginning of 2001 Pety left the band DORT, he was not able to continue, he was busy in other activities. With that a new, unified band was formed with the name FORMA DORT. After several public performances the band went to a recording studio in Hlohovec on 13 April. After a long consideration we selected 9 songs. Three were recorded in English and the remaining 6 in Slovak and at that occasion we fine-tuned the band name to FORMA. We performed on several festivals (e.g. Klikkfest, Infest – Velky Krtis) and some smaller venues in the Summer. Jerry left the band at the end of August. He decided to pursue a solo career.

At present, FORMA records its second demo album in Lucenec in unchanged setup: IVAN, SANO, ROLO, LUCKY PETO. We hope this setup will stay for a long time being.
