Rumors say: JonBen�t was forced to compete in pageants. Her mother pushed her into doing it... JonBen�t had to spend every waking minute of her sparetime practicing for her pageants, and she never got to play like other kids her age... just pageants pageants pageants... she won every single title, and parents of other children who were to compete in a pageant pulled them out of the contest if JonBen�t was in it, because they had no chance to win over her.


the Truth is: JonBen�t loved to do her pageant-thing. JonBen�t herself had begged her mother to let her try it. She didn't do many pageants at all. Between the age of 4� and 6, JonBen�t competed in about nine pageants all in all. Most 'pageant-kids' do more than 30 pageants A YEAR. And no, Jonben�t didn't win every single title. She just enjoyed her little hobby, and loved to spend time with her mother Patsy. JonBen�t loved to dress up, have her hair and make-up done - and most of all she loved to sing and dance. What's so terrible about that? The media only publish pictures of JonBen�t wearing pageant outfits, and they even edit the pictures to make her look more 'sexy'. They don't publish many pictures of her looking like a tomboy, wearing comfy clothes and being the kid she was. Why you may ask? Because those pictures don't sell as good as the peageant-pictures do! Please understand that pageants was just an itty-bitty part of JonBen�t�s life! She was just a kid, with hobbies like everyone else has too!
