| ALAINA... When my kitten , Rooxxie, had to be put to sleep 6 months ago, my other kitten, Edgar Alan Paw, was dersperately lonely. When it got to the point where he followed me EVERYWHERE, including to the bathroom, I decided it was time to seek out a new companion for my kitty. That's when I checked out the forgotten Felines website and found Alaina, who like Ed, is leukemia positive. At first Alaina was VERY shy, not associating with Ed, and certainly not with people...she hid under my bed so much I was worried that she wasn't even coming out to eat! Four months later though, I am happy to report that Alaina LOVES Ed; they are constantly chasing each other around the house and napping next to each other. She is also finally becoming quite people-friendly. She sleeps on my bed everynight, even though she is spoiled enough to have, not one, but two kitty beds of her own! She is such a sweet kitty and I am so happy that I was able to help an animal in need!! If I could adopt 20 more, I would!! Forgotten Felines is a wonderful organization...thanks for bringing Alaina to Edgar and I!!! Note: And Alaina is a very lucky kitty to have found such a loving home and companions in her life.. esp since she is leukemia positive. If interested in adopting a leukemia positive kitty, please consider Laurel, a gorgeous, extremely sweet 11 month calico with a heart of gold, abandoned at a nursing home and rescued by a compassionate person and brought to a Forgotten Felines foster home. Laurel may also be "long term" fostered if you agree to take her to one of our participating veterinarians when health care needed. |
