Pertinent Information:

Please KEEP YOUR ADOPTION AGREEMENT IN A SAFE PLACE with your other important records as you may need it at a later date.

This kitten/cat will be stressed until it can adjust to his/her new home and he/she
should be kept in a quiet and secure environment in one room with its food, water, bed, and litter during the adjustment period of at least one week.

Windows should be securely screened and no access to fire escapes or balconies unless balconies are securely screened in.

If your kitten or cat is allowed to escape your house within the first 3-4 weeks of adoption, it is extremely unlikely that you will find this cat again.

First time cat owners should review
WHEN BRINGING YOUR KITTEN HOME to see what this kitten/cat will need before bringing this pet home.   The LIST OF SAFETY HAZZARDS to kittens should be reviewed also on this same page.

Introducing your cat to your resident pet has to be done VERY SLOWLY to be successful.
See
HOW TO INTRODUCE on how to do this.

Our
FORGOTTEN FELINES INFORMATIONAL WEBSITE
can answer many of your cat questions and or problems so be sure to take a look.

Have the name and telephone number of the foster person of Forgotten Felines that you adopted this pet from in case a question or emergency arise.

If you have recently adopted a kitten/cat from Forgotten Felines and believe the kitten/cat needs to see the vet for a medical problem, you must call the foster person or Forgotten Felines to find out what Forgotten Felines participating vet to bring the kitten/cat to unless it is an absolute life or death emergency situation.

Have a veterinary name and telephone number on hand in case an unforeseen medical emergency arises.   See list of
emergency clinics.

Children and cats need to be taught proper behavior toward each other.
