| MUSHROOMS: Several species of mushrooms can produce hallucinations, about a dozen of which grow wild. The most common is the Liberty Cap (or Psilocibe Semilanceata) which contain the hallucinogenic chemicals psilocybin and psilocin. They can eaten fresh or cooked and can be presented by drying. Distinguishing hallucinogenic mushrooms from poisonous and sometimes deadly ones can be very difficult and sometimes almost impossible. Mushroom users have experiences simlar to a mild LSD trip but may also have feelings of euphoria and bodily excitement. At low doses euphoria and detachment occur. The short term effects of Mushrooms are as follows: 1. Intoxication 2. Hallucinations 3. Increased blood pressure 4. Nausea 5. Distorted perceptions, nervous feeling, paranoia 6. Sweating Users sometimes experience bad "trips" and can include confusion, anxiety and panic. In rare instances, users can experience recurring "flashbacks" which are episodes of anxiety and panic. This can occur days, weeks or months after the initial trip. High repeated doses or bad trips can result in psychotic problems. Mushrooms can impair your judgement and therefore driving under the influence is dangerous as too is operating machinery! Some mushrooms are poisonous and can result in stomach pains, vomiting and death!!!! Distinguishing between them requires professional knowledge of muchroom classification! |
