I remember my father telling this as little boy as we watched the sunset over the farm in near the Barrens. The more I look at this problem, the more I think he meant Calculus.
My name is Maxis Spellstorm and I'm currently attending Forge University, majoring in Spellcraft with a minor in Tech-magic. Of course if my minor was my major I imagine my GPA would higher. Even so, I still wouldn't be able to touch my roommates GPA.
Student 3194-454-7764. I know what you are going to ask next; why do we call him Student 3194-454-7764? It's simple. Because while he has a GPA of 4.6, (we still don�t know how) he also changes his name at random to some wizard in history. Last month his name was Merlin. I think he is Odin this week...I can never keep up. But then again I don�t have too. I live with him.
Well, you can�t. That�s the problem.
Oh and for all you people who think going to college for magic is like the Dreamscape classic, �Magic Knights of Forge�, let me tell you, there are not a lot sexy guys and girls running around in long robes and tossing magic around like it�s nothing. And the teachers are not whismical old codgers who can�t turn on a TV, but when you get into trouble turn into Merlin�s second cousin who taught him magic. It's like any other major in College, a lot of therorical mumble jumble and lots of long papers quoting guys who really can�t turn on a TV but never left their cave and wrote a magic book that someone thinks is neat enough to teach from.
I think I�m a little bitter. At this point, I have been politly coasting along. Most of classes I�ve been getting passing grades but I really have not been putting a whole lot of effort into it. Most of my Professer�s have been fine with this. I get to stay in the middle of the pack because my major is a sign that I don�t know what I want to do with my Magic career. Like I said before I wish my minor could be my major.
Well that all changed about 2 months ago with this new class and the now bane of my extistence: Mr Binder and Manuiplating Etherical Energies 202. Ever since that one day he picked up my visor and took a look through it, he has not let me rest. I have no idea what was such the big deal. It works kinda like your basic talismen, just the spell input is in the form of hard data. It was simple enough to make, just took a lot of time to get it right.( I�m still working on it) But since that day my normal coasting through class has been brutallty and horribliy denied. Maybe it�s for the better...or maybe I could transfer out of his class, or I could just get a social life. Then again working Wednesday through Saturday night�s could explain that lack as well. The parts I need to do tech magic are not cheap and neither is living in this place.
Maybe I talk too much, But then again this is the first time in a long time I've had this old digital diary. I remember recording all my old dreams and ideas on to this thing. I�m was a bit shocked to find it tucked away, with a blank disk no less. But it helped before. I think I�ll use you a bit more often. Who knows, maybe someone will want to listen to my silly logs. Well diary, I�m out of here. There is a Game between the Forge Blacksmiths and the South City Ravers coming on in like 5 mins.
