Apologies (Continued)
Great! Whats the class on Lycanthropy called, and does it meet a history requirement?

Yes.
Lectures on Supernatural Creatures during the Second Age of Civilization 101.

Scrolling down the class list, Im surprised to find its actually not the one with the longest title. Thats reserved for
Manipulation of Ethereal Energies Within an Enclosed Environment while Utilizing Lower to Mid Level Circles of Summoning and Holding 505. Theres a list of course requirements over a screen long underneath it. In fact, all of the course tiltles are pretty long winded. Its like wizards havent invented enough words so they have to make do with explaining everything out. No wonder Lisa looked so confused.

The new class fits better into my schedule. In less than a second, Im switched over. Thanks again. I say, pushing the screen back across the table to Maxis. I really need to find new ways to express gratitude. Im beginning to sound like that hokey kids show with all the recycled footage, the one about the Glacier Hoppers.

Theres a low buzz which I know is the outside intercom because it sounds exactly the same in my  room. Blitz gets up and walks to the wall by the door. Is that you Hannah?

Yes. I make out the voice barely over the white noise of the intercom.

Ill come and let you up. He lets go the button and walks out.

Whos Hannah? I ask.

Maxis shrugs his shoulders. I dont know. Guess well find out though. He smiles and our eyes meet. For a second he looks like a snapshot from a magazine, the touseled hair and dazzling smile mixing in a way thats almost scary. My stomach flips. Then he turns his head, its just Maxis again and I let go a breath I didnt even realize I was holding.

So those orbs Blitz made arent actually creating energy from nothing? Lisa asks, staring up from the notereader with desperation written on her face. Maxis starts talking about something to do with quantum theory. I lean forward, dropping my elbows onto my knees and resting my chin in my hands. His words wash over me. Im tempted to ask for the notereader again and switch back my class. I hope all of the magic classes arent this confusing. I dont understand a bit of it.
