Biography:
Formed on October 31, 2003, 5 musicians from Marshalltown Iowa, set off to create a new sound of their own. Not knowing what was to come, each member had a particular prefrence of music from rock to death metal. The line up at this time was as follows, Tyson Peters - Vocals; Ben Reese - Guitar; Tyler Weitzell- Guitar; Justin Reese- Backing Vocals; Ryan Grossman- Drums and Alex Gull- Bass. As the band progressed, they found that they had great potential, yet several members needed to seperate. Just before Tyson left in early 2004, Ben and Ryan swichted positions, Ryan as lead guitar and Ben on drums. A few short months after Tyson left followed by Justin Reese, leaving 4 remaining with no vocalist. Justin Cook was then discovered as a replacement for the departed vocalist and suddenly changed the band, bringing forth a whole new aspect for the band. The music became more melodic and the song structures had an added depth that could be noticed by anyone. Upon Justin's arrival, the name was changed to Forever Tormented. After only 2 shows in Albion Iowa, the band was ready to play at a local fest known as Marshallfest II. At the fest, 30 copies of the newly realesed cd, Among New Face's were handed out to the crowd, around 100 more were soon to follow. Tyler Weitzell decided to leave the band a few months later due his lack of motivation and simply holding the band back. With Ryan left as the only guitar player, the 2nd coming cd Engaging Broken Ruins was recorded leaving him with a new task at hand recording both guitars. With great suscess, this album had shown them what they could accomplish and propel them to the next stages of their musical carrers for years to come.
