Can You Loose Your Salvation?
First of all, remember what I said the first time. When you read what I say, don't just take my word for what it is. And don't compare it to other people. But take what I say and compare it to the Word of God. Because God's word is infallible. I have a few more questions for you... What do you think a born-again Christian is? Let me tell you what the Bible says a Born-again Christian is. Have you ever heard of the Roman's Road? Well, it's a bunch of verses in Roman's that explains what a born-again Christian is... let me show them to you and explain each of them to you. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Ok, so tell me... have you sinned? Have you lied, have you cheated? Have you stole something before. Have you talked back to your elders, especially parents? You don't have to write back and tell me what you have done, but we have all sinned. That's why the Lord gave us the Ten commandments, so we could try and live by it. But we aren't perfect and we do sin. And because of the we fall short. We aren't like God... because God is perfect in all his ways! Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Because we are sinners, we are only worthy of death. Because God is Holy and can have nothing to do with sin, we aren't worthy to even talk to him. But because God loves us, and because he has abundant mercy and grace he gave us a gift and that gift is eternal life. But we can only receive that gift because of Jesus Christ. Romans 5:8 But God commanded his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. also John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. So God... because of his love and grace wanted to spend time with us! He wanted to make a way so we could spend eternal life in heaven with Him. And the only way he could do that was to send his only Son Jesus Christ to die for us. So God sent Jesus to earth, and Jesus was willing, if he hadn't been willing it would not have worked out. And Jesus died, the horrible death on the cross. So his blood could wash away our sins forever. And then he conquered Satan, by conquering death and he rose form the dead three days later. And now Jesus is sitting on the right hand side of God!! Romans 10: 9,10, and 13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. The Lord said, you can have the gift of eternal life that Jesus made a way for, and all you have to do is ask for it. All you have to di is confess that you believe in the Lord, that you love him, and realize that He loves you enough to die for you and that he rose again three days later, that he conquered death and made a way for us to spend eternity with Him! And when we tell the Lord that we realize we are sinners in need of a Savior we are saved. Saved from the pit of hell! Because if we aren't heading for heaven then we are heading for hell! We are sinners... and sinners can not enter into the kingdom of heaven and soil a perfect place, but when we are saved we are wiped clean of all our sins. And we are ready to enter into heaven. I want to go through some verses in John to explain what I'm talking about a little more. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. Once you are saved, you are considered a daughter of the Lord. Your God's child! Because you believed in Him. He has adopted you into His family. And now all people that are truly Christians are your brothers and sister in Christ!! John 3:16,17 For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but the world through him might be saved. I now I wrote the first verses up there... but it's so important... the Lord came to earth to die for us. We wanted us to be worthy to go to heaven he wanted to wipe our sins away. And the Jesus came to save us. The thing is... even if there was one person in the entire world he still would have come and died! And that's what makes it so personal... because he loves each of us. He didn't to save your neighbor... but he came to save you and me and your neighbor and everyone else that will call upon his name!! John 5:24 Verily, Verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. So, when we hear the Word of God and believe on the Lord, we are given the gift of eternal life and we are passed from death... we hae life now. Life in Jesus Christ. We came spend eternity in heavena nd not Hell. John 10:27-30 My Sheep hear my voice and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one. God's sheep... or God's people... hear the Lord's voice and when we follow him he gives us eternal life, we SHALL NEVER PERISH. Once we've accepted Him, it's permannent... we shall never perish... no matter what we do we can never go to hell, because the Lord washed all our sins away. And even if we sin again, the Lord forgives. You said... "I guess I would say yes, I'm a born again Christian. It's hard for me to say that I'm saved just because I can't really be saved until Jesus comes back, but I do believe that I'm going to be." You don't have to wait until Jesus comes back to now that you are saved.... because He's telling you right here that He died for you he loves you he saved you and you can never loose that no matter what you do or say, because he still loves you. And you asked for the gift. You can make the Lord grieve, by going and sinning, but he is always there waiting for you to ask him to forgive you and he wants to guide you... but you will never loose you salvation! And he also says in these verses that no man can take you from God. No man can take your salvation from you. You are sealed! You name is in the Lamb's book of Life! No one and nothing can take you from that! God is greater then all those things... you are bound to Him when you ask for the gift. So when I say... I know that I know that I know that I know that I am going to heaven, I mean it with all my heart! If anyone is a testimony to say that you can't loose your salvation, think I can say it truthfully... because I asked the Lord into my heart when I was very very young. Even before my parents were saved. And I didn't realize there was suppose to be a difference about a Christian. So when my parents told me they were saved... and they wanted things to change... I rebelled. I went so far away from the Lord. But God in his loveing mercy and grace, showed me that I could come back to Him and all I had to do was ask forgiveness, I didn't have to get saved all over again, all I had to do was ask for forgiveness. And He answered with a yes, like he always does! And he showed me how to honor Him and he's still showing me. And I fail every day, but he forgives me again and again, because I'm not perfect and He is! John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believeing ye might have life through His name. He says all that, he did all that, so that you could know Him and the power of His love and understand the gift that he is offering you. The gift of life... the gift to spend the rest of your life with Him! And it's all done is absolute perfect grace!
