| On 1-14-03 we went to Animals Control to rescue some doggies on last day. As I walked through the wards I came across this little guy and knew he needed help. I asked to "Foster" him and AC agreed. This is how Parker looked the day we brought him to Sisters Haven. Parker was about 8 weeks old , now I wonder how an 8 week old pup gets into this condition and where was his momma and litter mates and how did Parker get away from them to be picked up by Animal Control as a stray? I just bet Parker was a "FREE TO GOOD HOME PUPPY" |

| Joell was brought to Sisters Haven on 2-28-03 when a "wild life rescue " man found her at an abandoned house in Howard City MI. where she had been left to fend for herself at 6-7 weeks old. Is a good thing she was found or she would not have survived in Michigan's winter. She was spayed at 8 weeks old and her forever home found . Joell is doing very well in her new home and will never be abandoned again. Joell is a Purebred Chow Chow... |
| This litter was rescued when it was an "oops" breeding between an AKC female boxer and the neighbor's Black Lab ...7 boys (all black and white )and 1 girl which was given away before we rescued the litter. VOA paid to have this momma spayed so their will be no more "OOPS" breeding.... |

| Joey was picked by a nice caring person when she saw him running across M82 a very busy road in Newaygo he was then brought to Sisters Haven on 3-15-03 (Friday) . Joey was taken to the vet on Monday as he had very swollen ears. Joey ears were very infected and the vet started him on meds. Joey was then neutered and got his shots to date. No owner for Joey was found .The gal who found Joey called and was very interested in adopting him which she did ...Joey will not be found on any busy roads again...He is doing very well in his new home. |
