Chapter 18 Somewhere other than the Night
By the middle of April, Natalee had finally forgiven Sam for what he had said. Joey and Reann were well on their way making their wedding plans, while JC was lost in the confusion that had become his nightmare since his plans hit the brick wall. Chris and Sandy had started spending more time together although it was on a strictly platonic plain. As for Lance he threw himself into the planning of the new tour that was kicking off in his home state.
For Justin, well he was off in his own little world when they weren’t rehearsing. He would make up any excuse to see Kristy. From the fact that their careers were skyrocketing, to he was miserable because he couldn’t go shopping anymore and the funniest was he was depressed because he couldn’t go have his hair done because someone would steal a curly lock.
Though Kristy and Justin would spend most of their time having romantic dinners with no one else around, this also gave them the chance to make love to each other. Since New Year’s they had managed to keep their love a secret. Five months of total bliss.
Since the tour was about to begin, they had countless numbers of interviews, JC finally admitted to everyone that due to unavoidable scheduling issues that the wedding was being postponed, Lance replied that he was single but on the lookout, Chris said that there was someone that he was interested in, they guys tried to keep Joey quiet when it came time for him to talk about Reann and when Justin looked over into the side of the audience and saw Kristy’s face as he replied that he was very single, his heart raced as the look of disappointment crossed her face.
On May 12th while they were in Memphis to perform at Pyramid Arena, Justin took the day to spend with his grandparents.
“Justin, you know you can’t hide behind that security blanket forever.” His grandmother said as she put a bowl of peach cobbler in front of him.
“Grams, it has been so good not telling anyone. I don’t want to ruin anything with her.” Justin said shoving a spoonful in his mouth.
“Well, you got to tell that girl somewhere other than the night that you love her.” She said finally sitting with a cup of coffee.
“I will Grams, I promise. I just don’t know when.” Justin said taking another heaping spoonful in.

“Great that is all I need another damn video!” Natalee said as she sat down flipping through the channels. She was trying to flip as fast as she could so Connor wouldn’t see it but of course it was too late. By the end of the day after watching it over and over again, Connor had the moves down, only this time he was doing all the moves to the CD and not the video.
Several days later, she received a note from one of his day care teachers saying that he would be perfect for a dance studio that she worked at part time and when Connor overheard his parents talking about it she couldn’t resist.
So now she had a prodigy on her hands and a secret to keep from even more people.
