Elvis' That's The Way It Is (Deluxe Edition):
Here he is finally, the long awaited 3 cd box-set, the so called (Deluxe Edition). About the artwork, I don't have much to say, it's very sober, but everyone has his own view on that one. Than we have the inside, wich is much more interesting. First of all, Disc 1: The first disc starts with the original TTWII tracks with 7 additional so called bonus songs. Disc 2: The second disc is really great, here we have a realy superb show from August 12, 1970, Midnight Show (International Hotel, Las Vegas). And this is one of Elvis best concerts ever, I think that the most Elvis fans agree with me on that. This is pure dynamite, Elvis on top of the world, singing his heart out, to the world. This is a complete show, and the show is very special at his own, because there aren't many Sounboard concerts from 1970 that were released, so this is really a treat for us Elvis Lovers. Disc 3: The last but not least cd, features more Unreleased material and Rehearsals. The Rehearsals are realy great and the sound is not all in the same good quality, because it came from different sources. The First Highlight from that cd, is "Santa Claus Is Back In Town" Then, he starts "farther Along" A thrill to hear, such a passion in this song. Then "Oh Happy Day" This is a must have for us collectors. This cd box-set, is one that every Elvis Lover (fan) must have. I know I do.

Long Lonely Highway:Out now is the 5th FTD release, and for the collectors this is another great one. I think that the artwork is pretty nice, but the main thing for me is to have an outtake of "It's now or never", where I have waited for many years. The real die-hard collectors who have some of the material (issued on the There's always me series etc..), will be surprised by the very different approach of "Too much monkey business". It's simply a beauty. Again, let's support this great release by FTD, and hope that many will follow in the future.TRACKLISTING : It's Now or Never (Take 1) / A Mess Of Blues (Take 1, Better sound than "Platinum") / It Feels So Right (Take 3, Better sound than "Platinum") / I'm Yours (Take 1) / Anything That's Part of You (Take 2) / Just For Old Time Sake (Take 1) / You'll Be Gone (Take 4) / I Feel That I've Known You Forever (Take 3) / Just Tell Her Jim Said Hello (Take 5) / She's Not You (Splice of two alternates) / Devil In Disguise (Take 2 & 3) /Never Ending (Take 1) / Finders Keepers Losers Weepers (Take 1) / Long Lonely Highway (Take 1, Single master) / Slowly But Surely (Take 1) / By And By (Take 4) / Fools Fall In Love (Take 4) / Come What May (Stereo master) / Guitar Man (Take 10) / Singing Tree (Take 13, Unused master) / Too Much Monkey Business (Take 9) / Stay Away (Take 2, Slow version).
